This post is for the new restaurant in New Castle, Pa. I am originally from New Castle, but live in Arizona and am home on vacation to see family and friends. The 7th of October was my birthday, so my daughter took me and her Godmother, along with our spouses to the new restaurant on East Washington in New Castle! The food was very good, however, the waiters we had apparently was not very experienced due to charging my daughter a bill of $80.00 and some change! My daughter pointed it out to her and she took the bill to get it corrected. Instead of her coding that bill out, she made a new bill of $59.00 and some change assuring my daughter it was taken care of. Needless to say the first bill was never voted out and my daughter was charged approximately $149.00 total for 6 people to eat breakfast! She was told by the waitress not to worry that all was corrected, but according to her bank account it was not! She went back to the restaurant the next day and the manager told her it was too late and if she didn’t leave he would call the police! Yes she was yelling and probably a few choice words came out of her mouth, but to be honest, who wouldn’t be upset to lose that much money! Not a very good way to start a brand new business! My daughter is not rich and yes she did things in her past, but is trying very hard to do right and didn’t deserve to lose that much money!!!! I just pray they need the money more than she does! This is very sad to me! P.S. someone sent me pictures after this incident of how burnt their food was and how dirty the...
Read moreWhat a quaint little bar and grill we stumbled upon in our travels. My son and I stopped in around 3PM on a Saturday the day before Easter. The place was just about empty with only 2 other customers at the bar, likely due to our odd dining time between lunch and dinner times. My son had the grilled cheese burger ( a burger between 2 grilled cheeses) and fries. I opted for 15 boneless wings in strawberry hot and Regina's hot blues. We were a bit worried as we could overhear the waitress and chef and it seemed the chef was either a sub or new and wasn't sure how to make the burger. Everything must have worked out as my son said the burger was great. The fries are fresh cut with vinegar on the tables, making them top-notch. I was very happy with my wings, they were decently sized and sauced well. I was sad that I didn't try more than 2 of the 30 unique listed flavors. Strawberry hot had a great smell of fresh strawberry and just a little heat. The Regina's hot blues seemed to be a mix of traditional hot and blue cheese. It had a nice tangy taste and a good burn that left the back of my head sweating as we left. With 28 different flavors left to try, I feel the need to return. The menu seems pretty large for a small establishment. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a pretty creative spin on sandwiches, wraps, and burgers in addition to delicious fried foods and full dinners. I hope to be back next time I travel...
Read moreThe bartender was incompetent (maybe just young?) absolutely not my first time but from my experience the past couple times, and today was awful, the place has gone completely downhill. Every time I needed something I had to get up from the bar, walk to the other end for the bartender (who was otherwise occupied with the owners seated by the kitchen.) I ordered steak and mashed potatoes. My potatoes were cold so I carried my plate down to the bartender and told her my potatoes were cold. With out even looking up at me, the male owner blamed me for being away from my plate for 10 minutes. (When my food came out I was playing a keno ticket IN BETWEEN THE 4min drawings!) after my plate came back with new cold potatoes I cut into my steak which I ordered mw and it was Medium Rare. Realizing that it was probably my fault again, I ate what I could stomach, paid (after flagging down the bartender.) ALL OF MY FOOD WAS COLD MY BUTTER WOULD NOT MELT ON IT AND SHAME ON THEM! I WILL NOT GO BACK AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE...
