often order from here, via doordash, for our workshop. today, ordered a dozen twists and 4 dozen glazed donut holes. what i got was a dozen twists and four glazed donuts. store tried to blame doordash driver(update. months later, i still think about this accusation. they actually tried to act like the doordash driver took 4 dozen glazed donut holes i ordered and magically assembled them, like yeasty voltrons, in to four glazed donuts I didn't order, rather than admit they screwed up), and claimed the order was right when it left them. it wasn't, and they knew it. they screwed up. told me to call doordash to resolve it. could have offered to have the donut holes ready so i could pick them up. didn't. doordash refunded the 14 bucks for the donut holes, but not the delivery fee or tax or tip. so i am out 7 bucks or so, and half my crew doesn't get donuts. but i have a 14 dollar doordash credit.. which means that, after deliver fee, tax, and tip, i can order a $3 item from anywhere i want. well doesn't that just make up for everything.
in the end, it's just donuts, i know. but that's also true for the person who won't admit or resolve...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI just got hip to Donut Palace about 2 2 1/2 years ago and since then they have been my preferred donut shop. Not only is the food amazing but the prices are just as amazing. You walk out with a dozen donuts and a nice cold coffee drink for just under $20 bucks. My first time ever going I remember walking in and thinking oh my God those donuts look so amazing!! I thought there was no way that they were going to taste as good as they looked. I was definitely wrong and they definitely taste just as good as they look. I will say this that I'm much prefer the one in Trotwood versus the one on the Old Troy Pike. The look and the taste of the donuts is still there but Old Troy Pike was just very small and dark, not very inviting. Although they are closer to me I would go the extra mile to go to Trotwood instead. But if I absolutely had to they're good enough that I would overlook all of that and hit up Old Troy Pike anytime. Sorry about the last picture being blurry however you can definitely see the dining area. Very chic, very...

Secondly, the labels on the donuts behind them are too small to read from the other side of the counter, and they didnāt help us to read them. The guy just stood there while we squinted.
Then, they had mixed up the baskets behind the labels, so after squinting to read the label for the ones we wanted, they said they were out and moved it to the correct label.
Finally, the donuts are not that great. The yeast donuts have absolutely no flavor. The only reason I have them 2 stars is because they donāt have a chemically taste like Dunkin. The peanut butter pretzel tastes like fake peanut butter, lie peanut butter candy melts. The cake donuts have a beautiful taste and texture, but are about half the size they should be. I wear a size small ladies glove and wear a size 6 ring, and these were no bigger around than my finger.
We are trying all the mom and pop donut places in Dayton, and there are way better than this. Donāt...
