If I could give more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. From the moment I walked into Ben's Brick Oven Pizza, I knew I was in for something special. This place is everything you want in a cozy, high-quality pizzeria and more. Whether you're coming for a casual dinner, a date night, or just grabbing a slice on the go, Ben's delivers--literally and figuratively.
First off, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and buzzing with the perfect mix of neighborhood charm and upbeat energy. Exposed brick, the smell of freshly baked dough, soft indie music in the background--this place just feels good to be in. It's rustic without being rough, cozy without being cramped. There's an open kitchen, so you can actually see the magic happen--and trust me, it is magic.
Now, let's talk about the employees. Every single person I interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and clearly passionate about the food they're serving. They didn't treat us like customers--they treated us like guests. Our server made excellent drink recommendations and checked in just the right amount (not too often, but never left us waiting).
And speaking of the kitchen--there was this adorable curly-haired guy behind the counter, working the brick oven like a total pro. He had this calm, confident energy, and you could just tell he loved what he was doing. About 5'9, super cute, and absolutely focused on crafting the perfect pizza. Watching him work was low-key hypnotizing. He'd toss the dough like an artist, slide pizzas into the blazing oven. A true pizza Picasso. When he came and handed me my pizza I was so astonished with how amazing he held that pizza and delivered it right to our table. He was holding 4 pizzas at once which is crazy. Honestly, he might have been the highlight of the night!
Now on to the main event: the food. Every single bite was phenomenal. We started with garlic knots that were so fluffy, buttery, and full of flavor they could've been a meal on their own. Then came the pizzas--and wow. We tried the Margherita and the spicy pepperoni. The crust was that ideal balance of crispy and chewy with a perfect char from the brick oven. The sauce was fresh and vibrant, the cheese melty and rich, and the toppings were generous but not overwhelming.
Even the drinks were top-tier. They have a great craft soda and beer selection, along with lemonade that hit just right. I tried their fanta orange soda and could've had three more.
Overall, Ben's Brick Oven Pizza is not just a restaurant--it's an experience. Between the incredible food, the friendly team, the cozy ambiance, and that charming curly-haired guy spinning dough like he was born to do it, this place has easily become one of my...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I often visit Ben's Brick Oven Pizza in Hudson, CO. It's conveniently located between my house and the Denver airport, just off I-76, so we make it a regular stop when she visits. The pizza they serve is delicious, and we enjoy taking home leftovers for another meal. The restaurant is open from 8AM to 9PM every day, so we know they'll be open regardless of her flight arrival time.
During our first visit, we tried the Philly cheesesteak pizza, which had a great balance of savory and salty flavors. The thinly sliced steak was cooked well, and the caramelized onions and green bell peppers added a touch of sweetness. The cream cheese on top added richness to the pizza, making it even better. Since then, we've made it a tradition to order this pizza each time we go.
Another pizza we recommend is "The Dad," topped with pepperoni, Italian sausage, caramelized onions, mushrooms, and green peppers. While it's delicious, the Philly cheesesteak pizza remains our favorite. The brick oven baked crust is consistently excellent, no matter the toppings.
The service at Ben's Brick Oven Pizza is also great. The staff is friendly, attentive, and happy to offer recommendations. The restaurant has a casual atmosphere, making it a nice place for a relaxed meal with friends or family. They have a good selection of bottled beer, both macro and microbrews, as well as sodas.
If we haven't pre-ordered from the DIA parking lot, we usually play a few rounds on the Star Wars pinball machine in their game area while we wait for our order. They also have other arcade games, but we particularly enjoy the Star Wars machine.
Overall, we consistently have great experiences at Ben's Brick Oven Pizza. If you're in the Hudson, CO area and looking for a quality pizza place, we highly recommend...
Read moreCould not possibly brag enough about Ben's Brick Oven Pizza. First, conveniently located next to Love's Truck Stop. Second, when you walk in, you will immediately notice how neat, clean, and organized everything is there. Third, the staff greets and welcomes you as you enter. I met Ben, his wife, and several members of their team, and they are definitely a team - I've worked in restaurants before I started driving trucks. Everyone is exceptionally nice and friendly. They truly care about your dining experience. They want you to enjoy yourself and come back with your family and friends. By the way, this is a great place to grab lunch. They were so business when I placed my order I was expecting a 30 minute wait. Ben told me it would only be about 18 minutes and his team delivered on time. I ordered the 12" dad pizza a combo of meats and veggies. On my way out, I told Ben my only problem with my meal is that I'm trying to lose weight, and the pizza was so incredibly delicious that I was tempted to eat the entire pizza as one meal. One chain's slogan is better ingredients, better pizza, and that's true. However, no chain's pizza will ever compare to Ben's Brick Oven Pizza. They use high quality, fresh ingredients and recipes that have been perfected and you will receive a pizza that very few pizzerias that compete. Competitive prices in comparison to other pizzerias. So, neat, clean, awesome team, quick food, great quality and convenient location. If he wants to improve he will have to start giving the pizzas away for free - no room for improvement from my experience. Thanks for an awesome experience today. I look forward to my next to Denver to...
