Captain D's — Restaurant in Hudson

This Captain Ds in Hudson has been superior to all others in the area for some time. Anytime I'm on my way to Boone I stop in. Never wrote a review of it but the staff tonight greatly impressed me.

I'm surprised, and glad it is open until 10 when everyone else closes at 9. I expected left overs and staff wishing I wasn't there. Immediately upon entering the cook dropped fresh food and the cashier greeted me with a smile...all be it behing a mask.

I listed to cashier for the next 20 minutes, now 9:38pm, getting every drive through the guest same.

One drive though guest asked if it was too late to get something and the cashier responded with a pleasant "no sir we'd be happy to get that for you". For a referee that works balls games until 9pm or so, a fresh meal with employees that care about their job is refreshing. Actually was going to leave them each a $10 tip before I realized I didn't have cash on me.

Excellent service. I ordered online and thought I had ordered from another restaurant. I arrived at the other location to realize my mistake. I had already paid for the food, so I had to go to this location. I called them to let them know I was coming but would be later than the pick up time I had arranged. I asked them to hold off on the order for the 15 minutes it would take me to get there. When I arrived, I drove into the drive through lane to let them know I was there and get the food when I arrived at the window. There was a bit of a line of cars in front of me. I settled in to wait in the line, but before I knew it, an employee was walking around my car to set my order in the passenger seat. He said, "you have been through enough, no need for you to wait in line." I was completely impressed that they were so thoughtful. The food was all hot and fresh. It was a small thing, but I was so impressed. I intend to go back any...

Stopped at Captain D's in Hudson NC a couple days ago to get... yeah you guessed it.. some fish right, and as soon as I got out of my car and noticed that the entrance doors were propped open to the restaurant I knew something was a miss, then upon entering the establishment I knew exactly what it was ....the A/C was on the fritz. I had every intention of sitting down to have my meal right there but there wasn't any way I could have enjoyed my food with sweat dripping from my nose in that hot box without any air movement so needless to say I got mine to go. Come to find out after speaking with the young lady at the register that the air conditioning hasn't worked in over a year there, and when I enquired about the reason it hadn't been fixed all I got was a " I dunno" . The food was delicious and the service was outstanding and I really felt bad for the poor cooks in the kitchen...they had to...
