We finally got to try out the French restaurant tonight and I am glad we did as a family. We are a younger couple with 2 under 3yrs old and were hesitant on going for a Friday night dinner because going to dinner with two littles is always a crap shoot especially for a nice place like this. Tonight was amazing as Sam our server was spectacular as well as the other staff. Sam was very attentive and kind to our kids. We knew what we wanted to order before we got there and he was happy to put in the kids order first which was the chicken Alfredo. It was very good and I highly recommend it even though it was on the kids menu we snagged a few bites before the kids devoured it. For us we went with the Wagyu Tomahawk steak cooked rare. Came out perfect to our liking and also came with some nice compound butter and a peppercorn sauce. This was the star of the meal. For sides we got the herb mushrooms and the shrimp gnocchi, both were good the mushrooms were a little undercooked but that's ok. For dessert we had the profiterole "tower" but it wasn't much of a tower to what I was used to seeing but the flavor and taste of it was good. All in all we recommend going here even if you have littles to dine with because we believe that is how we should be raising our kids to be in a social environment no matter how classy or not classy a place is. Everyone should be accepting. The food and service was outstanding and will be back soon!

We were driving through Hudson on the way to Lenoir and saw this gem. The pictures and reviews on Google looked good, so we stopped for brunch. The menu was pretty impressive. Plenty of pastries, brunch items as well as lunch fare. We both had the European omelet. It was delicious. The prices are on par for a French cafe/steakhouse. Brunch was around $20 a person before tip. You could easily spend more, and I would expect the dinner menu to be a bit higher. We were already talking about driving up for a dinner service before we left. We would certainly eat here again and recommend it to others.

Stopped in here for late lunch and it did not disappoint. This little bistro bakery is absolutely immaculate, great ambience and delicious food. I had Steak Frites ( steak with truffle fries) , crème brûlée for dessert with a cup of Earl, Gray, tea, and two almond croissants to go. They do not serve alcohol at this time, better working on the license. The total cost of my meal and the to go croissants was $50 plus tip. The ambience is has a French feel and I loved the music playing. My server, Austin, was friendly and welcoming, as well as prompt and professional. Definitely a find, and I will be back!

So for starters this is definitely a cheap restaurant posing as a high end steakhouse to overcharge.

The night started off with us getting seated near the cash register in the back (no big deal). After setting down it starts to sink in that the place is furnished by IKEA and Walmart. I don’t know what was worse the dorm room furniture or the cheap decor and fake candles. Even the silverware felt like it was from dollar tree. Although I only point that out because they our trying to give off a luxury steakhouse vibe and it just wasn’t happening.

The service was the worst. After getting our drink order our waitress went back to the cash register to cash out someone. Only to have her cuss loudly about how she didn’t get but a small tip. This would continue all night as she talked to her coworkers. Downside of getting placed in the back you hear everything but honestly she was only 10 feet away most of the time talking to her coworkers and not waiting on tables. I also ordered a porterhouse steak just to have to wait another 20min to get my waitresses attention because she hadn’t bought me a knife. Our drinks didn’t get refilled either. Service was just very awful.

Finally what all of you are wondering about, the food. It sucked. Now I did order the bone marrow as an appetizer and it was okay just a little salty but all in all not bad. What I didn’t know was that this would be foreshadowing my main course. When I tell you that the porterhouse steak I ordered was salty. I honestly start to question how long it took to mine that much salt. Well after spending over a 100$ I feel as if I could have ate fast food and been just as satisfied. Don’t recommend but willing to give it another shot. Maybe it was just a bad night I don’t know but definitely was disappointed.

I did not express my disappointment I just paid my bill (and yes I did tip) and left. I do hope they improve but for now it seems to be just another Caldwell county short...
