Cinco de mayo mexican grill — Restaurant in Hueytown

This was my first time eating here! My family and I came to have a Birthday celebration for my sister. We liked that they had a variety of unique options to choose from on the menu. The staff were not very friendly and the service was awful. We hardly ever got any refills, we had to ask for extra napkins they gave us three napkins for a party of 12 people ( we had to ask for more napkins several times). After we all placed our orders we had to wait at least 20 minutes or longer before they began to bring our food out. Instead of bringing all our meals out at once ( they'd bring a few then go bring someone at another table their orders). With a larger than normal party you expect to have most of the food ready to be brought out back to back. Instead we had people eating before others received their meals. My mixed fajita meal was really good ( the rice and beans not so much). The salsa was okay (kinda bland). I was taken back on how much I spent for just two people to eat. We literally spent $43 on one small kids meal, kids sweat tea, one adult sweet tea, one bottled orange drink and a mixed fajita meal. I was expecting it to be around $30 at the most not sure why it cost so much extra. While the food was good it definitely wasn't worth paying that much for one adult and one kid to eat. I'd recommend the food, but everything else was just poor...

I don't know what happened to this place but the service was horrible. The food did not taste the same or had the same quality or quantity. The manager had to come to the table and ask if our drinks order was taken which it was not and he came back to ask if we order was place which it was not. We ordered or usually although we don't come often but when we did it was good. The last time I just assume due to busy hours but now I'm starting to think this will be the last time we return. We always get the fajita Pablo which come ls with lots of meat and we added shrimp. Well.... it came out with LOTS OF peppers and unions. Minimum meelat no bacon We order extra bacon and shrimp to it but only got 3 shrimp for supposed $6.99. Manager came over to try to fix the issue but the damage was already done. I at one point, love this place. Not sure what happened but where's the old cook and waitress because it just a different vibe that I just can't get with, service 7, food 5 and overall experience 6.5.... I won't be back. It was good...

This place was ok. I mean the food was good. But the staff wasn't very attentive and most of them didn't even speak english. And it was waaaaaay to expensive. We paid over $90 for 4 people, and that was just for sodas and dinner. No alcohol, no appetizers, and no desserts. The food was good but it wasn't that damn good. I ordered a glass of sweet tea and when I got it I took one drink. It was so sour I almost threw up. It tasted like they had left it sitting for days. I told the waitress it wasn't any good so she brought me another one. The second one wasn't sour, but it was so sweet I could feel my teeth rotting as I drank the first sip. I finally had to get a glass of unsweetened tea to mix it with. They didn't give us any napkins of utensils. I kept trying to get someone's attention to ask for some. But They kept walking right by like they didn't even care. I finally went up to the front counter and stood right in front of the lady to make her pay attention. I'm pretty sure we won't be back anytime...
