Shrimp and Company — Restaurant in Hueytown

My wife called in an order at 5:55, the lady on the phone said it would be about 30 minutes. I waited 25 minutes before leaving, got there at 5:25. Walked up to the counter, waited 15 minutes before I was acknowledged by someone working behind the counter who asked if I had a call in, and when I told her I did, she asked the name and told me "the manager doesn't like to start making the food until the person arrives so it will be fresh." (I understand wanting the food to be fresh, but you shouldn't tell someone it will be 30 minutes if you have no intention of cooking the food until they arrive.) so I wait on my food, seeing numerous people going through the line and getting their food before I get mine. So now I know not to call in an order ever again. So at 7:25 she hands me 2 bags with boxes of food, and asks if I have already paid, I told her no I needed to, she puts my ticket in a pile and says "she will help you," pointing at the lady who continues to take orders from walk in guests. I wait another 15 minutes before the lady taking orders looks at me and says "do you need to pay or something" then proceeds to tell me she can't find my ticket in the pile the other waitress put it in. So I tell her what I ordered, which was 2 fish and shrimp combination dinners, and the small deviled crab dinner. She then rings it up for $47.18, and I tell her that doesn't seem correct for what I ordered and I tell her again what I ordered, and with an attitude she tells me "I know what you ordered and I rung it up!" So I pay and go home because my wife and child have been waiting on food for 2 hours at this point. I get home and they left out one box of fries and hush puppies, the food was cold, and as I suspected, I did the math and was over charged $7. I understand they're busy, but after waiting 2 hours for food I called in ahead for, being over charged, not getting all of my food, and having the cashier get an attitude with me, I'll spend my...

I absolutely LOVE Shrimp & Co!!! They are awesome!! I have tried everything there and I love everything. As much as I love everything I still have my favorites. When I order and I can get what I want, I will order the butterfly shrimp. It is amazing. I love the jumbo and the house shrimp too BUT I think the butterfly shrimp is the best!! You will mot be disappointed eating here. I will update my review next time I eat here but i will only add pics. Oh.. they close around 8-830ish on week nights and I think 9 on weekends. I'll update those times once i make 100% sure. Oh, the atmosphere is casual... they are supet popular so the tables fill up quickly. I haven't been here to dine in when I eat here. My family and i usually order togo. One more thing... if you are ordering for a group of kids and adults i will suggest a LG order pf the house shrimp and a med (or lg) order of bhtterfly shrimp. I have to amend my review. I did love this place, until yesterday. Me and a friend have been wanting to eat here for a while because I love their crab claws and it's close by. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get them as their prices have changed dramatically. The fries we got was only a hand full and I have small hands. It looked like we must have gotten the last crumbs in the bottom of the bag. The food looked like a kids plate. We were so disappointed. We have told others they will be very surprised by the changes as we have friends that also eat there. They have also changed the days they are open. Maybe it's because they weren't making enough to stay open all week??? We won't be going back and that's a shame.

I love this place. Their food is amazing but a little pricey. They are the same ones that had the restuarant on Allison Bonnett called Bryant's Seafood. You will definitely recognize the hush puppies. You will also get enough food to fill you up. I would eat there...
