Restaurante Tokyo — Restaurant in Humacao

Upon entering, we were asked for our vaccination cards. Thankfully, we had them saved on our phone. We ordered the miso soup as an appetizer, which was okay; we've had better. The menu states they have Japanese Plum Wine, but when I tried to order it, the waitress had no idea about what I was referring to. I'm sorry, but if you work in a restaurant you should know the items on your menu. After eating our soup, the waitress informed me there was no plum wine. So I ordered a Tokyo Martini. It wasn't until we were nearly done with our meal that another waitress came and told us they could not make the martini because it requires plum wine, which they didn't have. I told her to just forget about the drink. There was another couple behind us who kept asking the waitress what items on the menu are made with, and she couldn't seem to tell her because she didn't know. That is not how a restaurant should be run. They opted to skip on the food and finish their drinks. I gave it 2 stars because the food was good and the portions were huge. The service...

First of all, the atmosphere is just right in what I look for in a restaurant. Its great for going in groups but it is also good for going on a date with your partner. The lights are dimmed, and there is great harmony in the style and aesthetics.

The staff is very friendly and have no problem with clearing any doubts and/or questions.

The food is amazing, I mostly order the noodles and that plate feeds 2-3 people easily. My partner loves to order sushi and from all the different ones she has picked she has never regretted it. I myself am not much of a sushi fan, but the eel nigiri? Amazing.

I feel sorry in leaving this review. This was my favorite restaurant for a long time. We visited twice the restaurant to enjoy the food, in both occasions we waited for more than an hour for the waitress to take our food order, after we reached the waitresses we got the news that the sushi bar was closing and no more orders for sushi will be taken, having arrived while it was open. We paid our drinks tabs and left the restaurant in both occasions. There were additional tables on my last time that had been waiting for a long time as well. I hope this restaurant gets it together again, the food is great... but the food service experience...
