I go to many restaurants and this is by far one of the best Mexican restaurants in Humboldt and surrounding areas. The food is delicious! They not only have authentic Mexican food they accommodate your meal if you like it done a slightly different way. Make sure you inform the waitress if you have a special request for example you might prefer a corn tortilla instead of a flour tortilla, etc. Not many restaurants are this flexible. The cook and other kitchen helpers are passionate about their cooking and make their meals fresh. For example, the Huaraches are made when you order them, they are not frozen. So this meal may take a little bit longer to bring to your table but this is the reason because you can be assured that it will be fresh and delicious made when you place the order. This was the first time I had been to this restaurant. It was small and quiet. The food took a long time to come out for what we ordered. If your use to eating at los Portales or else patio don't expect the same food. It's definitely not the same. The salsa was not salsa did not taste like salsa, tasted and looked like spaghetti sauce which was not good and crazy to me. ( i though they could have gotten the salsa in a jar from Walmart and it would have been better than this) the cheese rice and cheese dip had absolutely no flavor not spices just cheese.
