New China — Restaurant in Humboldt

This place was completely nasty this afternoon. Buffet area looked as if it hadn't been wiped down since the morning if at all. The whole area adjacent to mine in the dining area was messy all the way to the middle of the walking area. Most the foods presented were in desperate need of a few stirs, possibly even some water, to the point where the rice was still in white clumps even in the fried rice.The select few items I did try were pretty good. The Beef Taco was an interesting option for Chinese Buffet and it was almost enjoyable and the prices were decent. We went inside to get an order to go, because no one answered the phone when we called. The atmosphere was like most Chinese restaurants. The girl at the counter was great, she was doing a great job, considering she was taking money, answering the phone and taking to go orders, she handled that like a champ. My granddaughter got sushi, she said it was okay, not great but okay. I ordered the General Tso platter, mine was good, the egg role was great, the General Tso wasn't spicy at all, it was good but tasted more like orange chicken. We will go back when we are in Humboldt, but it wasn't good enough that we would make a special trip just...

06/01/2024, 11:30am. Buffet dine in. The food was all perfectly seasoned. Had the honey chicken, general tso's, salt and pepper chicken, chow mein, fried rice, Cajun chicken'n'shrimp, salt and pepper potatoes, fried catfish, sushi, crab salad, and more.

Everything was delicious, even the fried foods, like their corn nuggets were perfect. THE CABBAGE, Y'ALL!! OH MY GOODNESS.

The service was perfect, felt attended but not bothered.

Me and my boyfriend have been to dozens of Chinese buffets, and this is a solid 9.5/10.

Only complaint is that there's not as much variety as Jackson TN's Chinese buffet. But the items presented are...
