Yami Asian Cuisine — Restaurant in Humboldt

Went on Friday rainy 🌧 night. Got in drive thru line with six cars ahead of me...waited one hour ten minutes and still three cars ahead of me...had to leave due to medication time! It appeared that had I gone inside maybe I would have gotten my meal...because people were going in and coming out (it seemed) with orders BUT, the drive thru wasn't being accomodated!!! I guess the priority was on the face to face customer because it took one hour and ten minutes for three cars to move ahead of me...until I had to leave!!! Maybe something needs to be addressed because in the ""drive thru"" I burned 🔥 quite a bit of gas ⛽️ 🤔 and got no service!!! Not only that but others in line got out and went inside to see what was happening...BUT, it didn't make any...

Ordered online, Said 25 minute wait. Once I arrived I was told an additional 25 minutes.. I didn’t mind so I patiently waited.. finally after an hour I left.. sent my son back to pick up order..Ended up waiting a total of 2 hours. Got order home and sweet and sour chicken didn’t even have any sauce.. a waste of time. I understand being busy but just stop taking orders for the evening/night if you’re behind on orders.. how do you forget to put sweet and sour sauce on sweet and sour chicken…. technically you just gave me...

Excellent food - I’ve tried things from both the Chinese foood menu and hibachi menu and both are excellent. What really stands out is that a lot of the Chinese dishes taste fresh and cooked to order, which can be rare for other places in the area. On the hibachi side, the food is just as good takeout as it would be in person and the portions are generous. Very well done! I usually use the drive thru and haven’t had a problem...
