AP's Dairy Bar — Restaurant in Huntingdon

We tried the Dairy Bar for the first time today for lunch and we were very impressed. I ordered the pizza burger with crinkle fries and my wife ordered a pizza burger with tater tots. We also had an order of the fried cheese curds. Austin was super friendly and gave great customer service. You know he’s eager to please and attentive when he walked out to check on his customers sitting down at the tables and asked if they needed anything, how their food was, and thanked them for coming in. The burger was great. Much better than fast food. The crinkle fries were perfect, softer inside while being crispy outside and they were hot! Same for the tater tots and the cheese curds were good. We’d order all of them again! The Diet Dr. Pepper out of the fountain was delicious and some other local places cannot say the same. I don’t know if it’s the water lines for the ice or whatever, but it was tasty here! Everything was clean and tidy with 1950s decorations. Austin spoke with us when we were finished and you can just tell that he cares a lot about his restaurant. We will be back and we will gladly bring our family and guests! You should go there too! Want to say im not one to complain, but after this I have to. I went in and ordered my food, they gave my order to the wrong table no big deal. After I advised staff I didn't get my food they said they would remake it. Again no big deal. Then after remaking my food, after everyone I went with had already ate their food and were waiting on me, the remade food had condiments that were requested not to have on it twice. So at this point I'm calling it a loss and just requested my money because everyone was waiting on me anyway. After the manager had to be involved he only gave me 1/2 of my money back and after I said that it wasn't what I paid he said well but you kept the cheese curds. I advised I didn't and he could ask the young girl I gave the bag to which he still questioned whether I was apparently lying. He did end up giving me my money back but I can say without a doubt after him asking where I was from after requesting my money back and everything else, I will not be returning. First I will customer service was good. The fried chips and sweet potato fries were really tasty.

Now, the not so good. We ordered a pizza burger and a cheeseburger. The patties were like the cheap frozen hamburgers that Walmart has, that are not 100% pure beef. The patties taste not so good. I was extremely shocked that they served lettuce which was turning black and some areas was slimy.

We will never again order burgers from here. We might order the fried and chips, but...
