Interesting restaurant. The design and art all around the restaurant is beautiful, but a bit confusing for someone out of town. Kid friendly and have lot of space in the back patio. Inside is like a bar and has some casino games. A townhome converted into a restaurant feel to it.
The stone town tavern is combined with the vietnamese restaurant next door, Thanh Pho Vietnam. One side of the menu had the tavern and the other the vietnamese restaurant.
The staff here was amazing and friendly. They provide good recommendations as well as explained any questions I had such as how the ordering from two restaurants works.
I had the Pho with medium rare beef and my kids had the grilled cheese and cheese burger meal. The kids meal came with Fries. Nothing special about the kids meal, it was decently priced and tasted good.
For the pho, it was good as it was recommended to me by the wait staff but something was different. I've been to many pho restaurants and I think the broth was a bit on the sweeter side. Also the beef slices were a bit thicker and the broth wasn't hot enough. Didn't get to cook the rare meat all the way and left a slightly cooked beefy flavor mixed with the broth. The noodles and toppings were good.
Overall, I would go back and check out this restaurant. I would like to try other foods here. A unique experience...
Read morei’m usually a very patient person, especially since my partner is a server. we came in on a saturday at 7:30, didn’t get water until 8:30. our server kept reassuring us that we would be taken care of- considering they were the only server on duty we were very understanding. the server did appear to be some type of intoxicated, and everytime we looked up, they were behind the counter talking. the server kept coming up behind me and playing with my hair, which is what solidified the assumption that they were drunk. we ended up leaving without dinner and without any drinks due to the server not putting our food in even after we reminded them several times. we asked another worker if they could check on our food, and then said worker ignored us for about 15 minutes until i approached them and asked how our order was looking, to which, they glared at me and told me that the order had just been put in. i’m so disappointed in the service i...
Read moreI absolutely loved this place when I was a student at JC. It is another wonderful addition to the stores in Huntingdon that have two purposes. Along with the wonderful breakfast food and freshly baked scones, Stone Town is (as the title would suggest) a gallery as well. It has so many wonderful offerings throughout the inside of locally crafted jewelry, scarves, mittens, dodads, art, and so much more! As mentioned above, the food is absolutely delicious and the portions are large. My only complaint is that the service can be slow, however with the quality of the food, friendliness of the staff, and all that there is to look at around the shop, it is definitely well worth it. There is outdoor seating as well! I've gone there on a few occasions and sat outside. Sometimes there is live music and the aesthetic is just wonderful. Definitely someplace I yearn...
