A Slice of New York Pizza — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

ONE of the owners is the nastiest person I've ever met! ...Growing up in the neighborhood and finally seeing the "Hughes" center develop in such an amazing family oriented place, I was always supportive of all the shops, including this pizza place. Although the pizza is pretty darn good, I respectfully decline to support such disrespectful person. ... Today my 60 year old mother finally got new furniture.. she decided to take her bed apart BY HERSELF. Because she felt it was dangerous leaving it on the sidewalk for a whole week, i helped her load it in her car and rode with her to the parking lot dumpster. This dumpster had no sign against public dumping!! NO SIGN!.. Plus it was already full of peoples old bikes, chairs, etc.! While we were unloading, this man drove up and starting yelling at my mother " Do you know what you're doing is illegal... Are you an owner of any shops... I'm going to call the cops and get you fined".. I asked him why he was so upset and to please stop yelling...but he continued and even tried getting out of the car. WHAT DID HE THINK HE WAS GOING TO DO???? !!! He then began to take pictures of my moms license plate and told us he was going to send us to the police. Then it hit me... I know this guy,,,

I'm a 33 year old, educated woman who comes from a very successful family. I have never been approached so aggressively and meaningless before. If he would have delivered his message more calmly and really expressed that its important to leave room at the dump, then maybe this outcome would be better off.

If a nice car, and a successful business in a wonderful area doesn't make a person pleasant, than why the heck should a nice, loving family of 7 people (who quite frequently eat there) ever support...

When I'm anywhere near Algonquin and I am craving a slice of pizza I go to a slice of New York. The pizza is pretty thin crust so you can really taste what's on top. They use a cheese blend I think because it doesn't just taste or feel like mozzarella and it's really good. And they have lots of different types of pizzas that are ready made and they're all good. Last time I got the buffalo chicken pizza and the meatball sausage pepperoni pizza, and are ready made and they go into a hot oven so they come out pretty quick. They have beers on tap and they have bottles to. I haven't tried anyting but the pizza here, but I would like to because this pizza has nice quality ingredients. I've been living in Huntington Beach for a little over 4 months. I have passed this little shopping center many times while out skating and biking with the family. Finally deciied to stop since restrictions were lifted. I ordered the supreme 2 slice and drink special and cheesy bread... the best cheese bread EVER!! Not really a fan of the cold marinara sauce, but the cheesy bread doesnt need it. The crust is so crisp but soft.. the crust is the best! Oh man it is amazing! Seriously need to just try the 2 slice n drink special and you WILL FALL IN LOVE!! I havet tried anything else but the supreme pizza, but I CRAVE it and need the textures and flavors and crisp and crunch and mmmm... ...
