Bagels Tea lounge of HB — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

The phone line was busy so I placed my order online ahead of time. The expected wait was 20 minutes. Upon arriving, I waited an extra 15 minutes until someone who had ordered in-person (well after me) said. "You must've ordered a while ago!" I'm not sure if my order had gotten lost in the commotion or overlooked, but once I showed them my name and order, they looked at a ticket and made it right away. I totally understand that it was a busy morning, but again, people who ordered 20 minutes after me were coming and going before my 2 bagels were made. Hmm.

The lox bagel and fresh orange juice was delicious. Even my boyfriend (who doesn't usually like smoked salmon) enjoyed it because it was not overly fishy. Great amount of cream cheese and toppings. Messy to eat, but a nice choice. It came with a cube of watermelon and a cookie. The bacon egg and cheese on an everything bagel was a letdown however. It was super bland and the texture of the bagel was soft in an almost mushy way. Usually an everything bagel adds the flavor of salt and garlic...this sandwich fell completely flat.

Between waiting 30+ minutes and the lackluster BEC bagel, I would not personally be inclined...

The food is solid. But its not even worth it because of how incompetent the workers are and how much of a hassle it is to deal with them. Asked for a bacon egg and cheese. They gave me a sausage egg and cheese. No big deal. Is what it is. I politely tell them what happened and ask for the bagel that I actually ordered. The worker doesn’t even say a word grabs the bag from my hand and scoffs. I’m sorry that you messed up, what a terrible person I am. She then goes on to give me a bacon egg and cheese, but it is on the wrong bagel. Maybe I’m being petty, but I feel like it isn’t very hard to make a bacon egg and cheese on a plain bagel, but these workers managed to find a way to mess up that simple order not once but twice and when I politely notified them of their mistake, they didn’t even have the decency to apologize or make sure they got it correct. Keep in mind I was the only one in the store, so they were not swamped with work to do, they had plenty of time. I decided to not go back after they messed up the second time, as it felt like a total waste of time. I did not want to risk them messing up yet...

The food is great here. The one star review is for the service and how rude the staff is. They never say good morning or thank you.

They messed up my order a little over a week ago and got annoyed with me when I told them. They fixed it for me but never said sorry. She just gave me the bag back and went on to the next order.

Today I went in to get a dozen bagels with cream cheese and breakfast for myself. I had to wait almost 15 minutes because they did not get my dozen bagels done until they did my breakfast order and the orders for the 3 people behind me. When I finally got my dozen bagels, they were not sliced and just thrown in a box. No sorry for the wait or anything. I spent $32.50 this morning and even dropped $7 in the tip jar.

The staff here is beyond rude and I will never...
