I now know why TripAdvisor has rated this HB local spot so highly. I read a review from the LA Times saying that this place has one of the Best Bloody Mary's in the OC. It DOES! But wait, there's more...the food is delicious and service is amazing. I came through with a buddy of mine from Nor Cal and we ate brunch. He had a Diablo omlett and I had the Chicken and waffles. Yummy!! So good!! The waffle was nice and light/airy with s wonderful slight hint of vanilla. Then on top a very generous portion of country fried Chicken with a side of gravey. And, of course to top it off one of their awesome bacon bloody Mary. If you like bacon, I know you do!!! Then this mama jamma is for YOU!! 😋👍 A bit of bacon salt on the rim of the glass is a true match made in morning madness. 🤯😆🤓 If you're looking for a place that can rock your brunch on a mid morning weekend, or if you're stopping in to grab a bite and catch the game on one of their plasma screens, this is your kinda place. As it is now my kind of place! The young lady who was our server was very nice, extremely helpful and funny! She helped us dial in our order so that we reached an appropriate level of food coma. LOL😆😝 seriously, I envy the folks who live in the immediate vacinity of this Bolsa Chica location, it is super chilled out and laid back family place. I never participate in reviews…but come on! On your website, it clearly states the establishment is closed at 11pm. We came up from out of town, showed up about 8:45pm. Specifically looked for a place opened later, as We were waiting on another family of 4 to join us. They ran a little late due to a softball tournament. We were told after we were seated, that the kitchen closes at 9.30pm. Although naturally, I was confused since per the website, the restaurant is open until 11pm, I was then told by the server that “yeah, it’s misleading but the bar serves drinks until 11 but the kitchen is only open until 9:30………but they would try to make a little exception (very small window for us). About 9:20 our server asked when the remaining party would be here. My husband said “they are 4 minutes away” I asked if she could give us until 9.35, she went and asked the cook who said NO. It has to be 9:30. Our friends showed up at 9:28. Rushed orders were put in. The most uncomfortable experience ever. We purposely stayed until 11, even though you can tell they wanted us to leave. Make sure what you put on your website matches what you deliver. Fire your staff and start all over. Watching them so mad, waiting for us to leave was the only good experience at your...
