I have come to this business since 2022 on occasions and only came here to support an establishment that stands up for Traditional American Values and Fought the good fight against the Covid-19 Mandates. I would've came here more if it wasn't for the type of customer service I received. Every-time I came in here the Serving staff was lackluster with their service and never made me feel like my business was appreciated, they act like I'm doing them a favor and Im nothing more than a nuisance to their day whether I Dined in or got food to-go. How about say "thank you for your business", "We appreciate you coming in, please tell your friends and family about us". anything like that to make the consumer feel like their business matters. Its simple gestures like that keep people wanting to come back and takes little to no extra effort. I was never satisfied with the service from the gentlemen here. Rude, disrespectful, unaccommodating, and not passionate is what I would describe these so called "patriotic servers". Terrible Communication Skills all around. I have received far superior service at establishments such as Texas Roadhouse, Chilis and even McDonalds for crying out loud! I only kept coming back to support Tony Roman's business because of the sacrifices he made during the pandemic and the message he sent. I never wanted to tell Mr Roman what I thought of the service at his restaurant because I didn't want to insult a man or his business but after the money I spent and my interactions with the staff I have no choice to put my opinion out there so he can read it. If I'm going to pay these High prices for Italian food I would rather pay the same price if not pay more at an another Italian establishment that takes pride in their treatment and service to their guests regardless of the businesses...
Read moreWe've been wanting to come here for awhile and finally decided to give it a shot about a week ago. We arrived right around 5 and were directed to sit at one of the available two tops along the left side hallway. I noticed three things immediately.. 1) the restaurant was pretty crowded and 2) the music was really loud.
My husband immediately decided on the seafood linguini and I went with the waiter's recommendation of sausage alfredo. Each pasta came with a house salad and warm bread. The salad was a nice size but it had so much dressing it was next to impossible to eat.. was just far too oily. The bread was delicious. When the server brought my sausage alfredo, the first thing I noticed was there was an exorbitant amount of grated parmesan on top. I'm a huge cheese fan though, so I wasn't really too concerned until I began eating it. There was so much of it, it was hard to taste anything else. I tried mixing it into the sauce but it just made the alfredo grainy and so rich it was hard to eat. My husband, however, thoroughly enjoyed his seafood linguini.
About halfway through the meal, we realized the reason the music was so loud. There is gym next door to the restaurant which appeared to be holding a class. Sitting at a table tucked into the hallway at the back, we could hear the high energy music as well as the even higher energy instructor.. it was a surreal experience, considering it was a cheat day for me.
All in all, we'll definitely be back to give it a second shot, although, we will definitely request a table not in the hallway, ask for light dressing on the salad and I'll be asking for no...
Read moreI look around today at everyone being all normal in society, without a mask, and all it does is make me think back to coming here in 2020. No one appreciates freedom anymore. If you do however, you should come here. This was the freedom flagpost for me and my friends back in the day and everyone would put up with the commute from LA so we didn't have to put up with the nonsense.
Here I am somehow back in LA in 2024, and rather than celebrate locally for being hired at an entirely different steakhouse, I will to this day drive an hour out of town to eat alone if I can avoid all those hypocrites. Yes the food is that good but even if it weren't (it is though, rest assured), there's a reason people come here. Owner Tony is one of the real 1% left in America. Yes there are still a minority of Americans left in this country that actually act American. So yes, I appreciate the exclusivity of turning away idiots who would destroy the privileges they were born into because it's always those people who specifically want to come here of all places.
Anyway. Loyal employees, loyal customers, solid food. Tonight's special was tender boar pasta and since I've been here so many times, I've tried everything else on the menu (besides eggplant Parmesan because it's vegetarian), so had to go with that. Like I said all the food is good so unsurprisingly that was awesome. Not sure how to end this other than to say listen to his podcast, and if you don't like it, save your seat for everyone else who wants to come here. No one cares about...
