John's Philly Grille(we close early if we run out of fresh baked rolls) — Restaurant in Huntington Beach

The food was delicious, but the star of this visit was Zach (sorry if I misspelled your name). I was the first customer of the day and his customer service was some of the best I've ever had in my life! It was my first time visiting this establishment and he walked me through the menu giving me insight on was the popular items are. I went with his favorite Philly, "The Works". I also wanted a soda and he recommended the Hanks bottle soda. The root beer was a perfect pairing. I got a half order of fries and he suggested I try out their garlic pepper sauce. While I waited for my food, he was telling me about the place and pointed out the newspaper articles up on the wall.

The Philly cheese steak was absolutely delicious. The bread was so soft and fresh. The garlic pepper sauce was absolute fire 🔥! On the spicer side, but so perfect on the cheese steak. Similar to The Pepper Plant California style hot sauce to get to an idea of the flavor profile. I bet it would be fantastic on some eggs, but I digress.

Zach checked on me to see how I was liking my food and his recommendations. You can absolutely feel how passionate he is to providing a wonderful customer experience, and how much he loves his job. The world needs more people like him. Protect him at all costs, he's a gem. Also, if you can budget in a raise that would be cool. THE MAN ALSO SANG THE TASTYKAKE JINGLE!

Hands down the best Philly cheesesteak on the west coast, I’ve had cheesesteak on the east coast and the west coast and in my humble opinion Johnny's Philly grill is on par with what you get in Philadelphia and that’s really saying something. We have eaten here many times and will continue to do so. We ordered from here on superbowl Sunday since we are Philadelphia eagles fans.. Go birds! It was extremely busy and they had hundreds of orders called in but they still had ours ready on time and they were phenomenal as usual. It doesn’t matter how busy they are, the food is top notch every single time. Just writing this review made me crave a Philly so I know where I’m eating tonight. I haven’t tried all of the locations but based on the overall experience while eating at the beach blvd location, I’m sure they are all on point. I’m so glad I found this place, even my super picky 15 year old loves it and that’s impressive. I can’t wait to go...

Completely Amazing and Lizzie is AWESOME! It was my first time trying this place and I am disappointed that no one told me about this place sooner. So, I arrived with my wife and kids and we stared at the menu for probably 20 minutes before we made our decisions and approaches the Lizzie the cashier. I told Lizzie what I wanted and she politely and hilarious made a suggestion. I wanted the Chicken Parmesan sandwich, but Lizzie suggested I try the Philly Cheesesteak with Marinara and hot peppers. I did just that and THE SANDWICH BLEW MY MIND. the best way I can describe it is it's like a GOURMET ADULT SLOPPY JOE. Then Lizzie generously gave my wife a sample of the Pizza Fries.
