
Rating given based on misinformation and lack of accountability. It was my first experience visiting this HB art center and I’m disappointed. If an art exhibit is “on view” from Oct 21 - Dec 16 and gallery hours on Saturdays are usually 12-5pm, why was the center closed to the public on Saturday, December 16? The front doors were locked today when I arrived at 3pm, the employees looked hesitant but one opened the door to tell me the art exhibit closed Friday, Dec 15 and that the center is closed today in reservation of an artist council meeting. They looked at me like I was supposed to know that somehow. Where was the information that the center is closed on this particular Saturday posted? Certainly not on the exhibit postcard, exhibit poster outside the center, website, or front door. Now I’m hesitant about returning to the center and trusting the employee’s invitation to “check out the next exhibit in January”.
