Lake Park is a rather large (4.75 acre) neighborhood park right off Main Street. It was parking on 2 of the 3 sides at no cost and backs up to another park called Farquhar. No restrooms without reservation so plan accordingly if you don't live nearby. Drinking fountains are here and kept in decent condition.
This park has large grassy fields, horseshoe pits, BBQs with reservation, community room for rent with reservations, hosts regular yoga classes and has a large playground with sand area and a boy scouts cabin for our local Chapters. The paths are great for walking dogs or getting some exercise.
The playground has a large sandpit surrounding the swings including two infant swings and 2 large and 2 large concrete climbing structures. The playground is broken into 2 main pieces. The largest included 3 slides of varying sizes, monkey bars and assorted ladders, a pole, and stairs for climbing. The smaller one is likely intended for smaller children with its 2 slides and various ladder type access points.

Love love love this park. Equipment has been improved. Have been coming here since I was in high school, it's just so peaceful & pretty. But -- City of HB park works..... CLEAN THE SAND PLEASE, at least twice a year?? Is that alot to ask? Rocks, bandaids, trash.....come on. Not acceptable. And why dear God- in a park that has tons of little kids that go there everyday- WHY IS THERE NO OPEN BATHROOM????? Really? Open the one in the Pavillion PLEASE. Everyday. This is a beautiful little park that is directly adjacent to another small park named Farquhar park in Huntington Beach. The two parks are separated by Main St. Lake park has a great club house and bbq area that can be rented from the city for parties or meetings. The BBQ area was just recently renovated. There is a historic log cabin on the park that the boy scouts use for their meetings as well. A small play area with swing sets and slides is also well...
