Boys Burgers — Restaurant in Huntington Park

I’ve been a patron of boys burgers since I was kid. It’s been an iconic part of the Florence Graham community for many years. Their burgers, fries and chicken are delicious. But I have noticed their food quality has been lacking for the past 1-2 years. Burgers over cooked. Fries crunchy and burnt. But overall the food is still good.

My complaint and the reason for my 3 stars is that they have JACKED UP the prices. My favorite meal is the bacon cheeseburger. Absolute beast of a burger. I remember paying $7-$8 2 years ago. Last year it went up to $9 something. Understandable because of the pandemic. But for whatever reason last month they decided to balloon the price to $13 something. Absolutely ridiculous. I understand the pandemic hit all restaurants hard. But I don’t understand how they can justify the ridiculous price increases when we have indoor dining and everything opening up in 2 weeks.

food prep and handling skills are horrible I use too like these places when I had no money to eat except this one costs a lot now I go to places like this I realize how bad poor people have it pretty much feed you anything 3rd time going to this place and everytime they messed up we order 6 chicken dinners and 1 order gets 2 breast and 2 wings another friend only gets drumsticks everyone gets mixed matched pieces maybe if I order one at a time they might get it right I only went after being told they had a good chicken dinner maybe they use to do a good chicken dinner and now they ego is thru the roof unknowing they are doing a horrible job at this place Id rather drive a lil but get some good food clean food for better prices this place is way too expensive for...

I use to like coming here for the chicken dinner, but they lost their credibility. They be refrying the chicken. Got into it w/ the owner ( the older white lady) because I requested fresh chicken. She said the chicken was fresh, I asked how long it’s been sitting and she said 20 mins. Twenty minutes is not fresh. I told her I was ok w/ waiting she was obstinate about cooking me fresh chicken, she did it eventually because she had a full house. They lost a loyal customer that’s been coming here since childhood and I’m sure they noticed their sales went down due to their lack of effort. Never spending...
