Choose this place off how well it looked on the web site, I knew it was a little pricey but didn't look at the menu before choosing it for a family group outing. Very disappointed in the quality of the food, and consistency in drinks. My nephew ordered the DC old fashion it came with crispy bacon and brown sugar and it was delicious we passed it around leaving him wanting more so he ordered a 2nd one and some else must have made it as it was not the same and stopped us for ordering more. Had they been the same we would have ordered a few more. The burgers were just OK nothing to write home about you get a choice of protein we ordered a buffalo burger it's a $7 up charge but it was much more flavorful than the reg burger. The smash burger was good but had zero flavor. The grass feed burger was $5 extra it was ok didn't taste any better than the corn feed. The bacon on all the burgers and BLT's were so undercooked it was gross. I had deep fried or so it was supposed to be breading looked delicious and I was disgusted when I bit into it and the bacon was raw. The outside was breaded and crispy the inside was raw bacon. They need to cook the bacon then bread and deep fry it. I don't know why the bacon for the old fashioned was nice and crispy but all the burgers and BLT had very undercooked bacon ruining the whole meal. The garlic spinach was good. Very disappointing I told the guy in the yellow dc training shirt as well as showed all 3 of our tables that the food was under done and the waitress finally after it's said to her 3 times oh you really are serious as you can clearly see it's not eaten on anyone's plate - her words were " not sure what we can do now" my manager will take off the bacon fee - how about since everyone only ate less than half the burgers since it's not made right you remake or actually credit it right. We had a $700 between all of us and for that kind of money we could have all had steak dinners at Texas Roadhouse and had triple the amount of food. Portions are very small for the price and everything is up charge. It was our first experience and there was nothing good enough to refer...
Read more$$ I need to preface my review with the fact that we at here at 5pm on a Saturday right during NCAA basketball games. Upon walking in, we noticed it was extremely loud. We had to have staff repeat things due to the fact the room was loud and they weren't. Anyway, we were seated right away and given menus. Decent selection and good specials. It took a little effort to order due to the noise but we managed. Our drinks came out right away and food came out quickly as well. Both my Shrimp Po' Boy and wife's Lobster Roll were prepared well and tasty. This is a new establishment in this location and appears some of the staff are new too given my wife was asked if she was done with a good portion of food on her plate. Another odd thing was it seemed they wanted to turn tables over quick. We were in and out in under an hour. My wife was asked about another drink, however, I was not and no mention if we wanted any dessert. Anyway, the experience was relaxing and we hope to go back when there's warmer weather to take advantage of what appears to be a large outdoor patio near the front of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and pleasant and the area is downtown Huntley and has a very small town feel to it. Plenty of parking in the area, however if it is really busy, you may need to walk a couple of blocks. The prices are reasonable for food but a few adult beverages could bump up bill a bit. The one suggestion for management is have your staff talk louder when necessary. The wood ceiling probably doesn't...
Read moreWe had been to other DC Cobb's locations and wanted to try the new one, especially since it's right down the street from our house. We got there a little after 5pm and didn't have to wait at all for a table. We were promptly greeted by our server, who took our drink order. Moments later, our drinks were in our hands and we had placed an order for cheese curds.
Overall, the food is good. My wife likes that she can make her own burger, her way, and get it with an Impossible patty. I got a burger with bison for the protein. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. We had a couple/few beers each during the course of our meal.
After a while, there was certainly a wait, as people were crowding into the front area, but it seemed decent in terms of space for getting around.
I almost gave one less star, simply because of price, but I considered the fact that we hadn't been out for dinner, just the 2 of us, for a while and had beers with dinner, as well as an appetizer. It was maybe $20-25 more than the last time we had been out locally anywhere, but I guess that's just how things are now. I expect high prices in the city, but out here, it seems that it should be less, but those days are gone.
Regardless, I'm sure we'll be back to DC Cobb's, albeit probably not super frequently due to the cost. Maybe ordering takeout would be better, since we have our own...
