Went there on a Saturday afternoon and bought two beers. Other than being expensive ($10 each) they were good. What was not good was the extra $15 that hit my credit card at 12:30pm that same night, long after we had left. I tried to reach them using phone numbers listed in Google and Facebook, neither of which worked. I also tried Messenger and got no response. I had to cancel my card and dispute the charge. My advice is to check your charges closely if you visit them. Which I will not be doing in the future. Update to Pourhouse response: Thanks for finally responding, but you missed the mark on this one. I understand the pre-authorization process and this was not the case. First of all, the entire, correct amount hit my card first - $23.80 on May 27, 03:59 PM CT. I did not open a tab, and completed this one purchase immediately. The second, questionable charge then hit my card for $15.24 on May 27, at 11:29 PM CT – a very long time after we had departed Stovehouse. This second charge was never reversed by Pourhouse, even now, three full weeks later. Thankfully my credit card issuer has credited it to our account as a disputed charge. If you have a more plausible explanation I am...
Read moreBought a beer from their price free menu and opened a tab, 7% abv IPA and asked how much it was. Was told $7 bucks. Was given a purple cup so the price was not terrible. Bought another beer from their price free menu, 5% abv sour, was given a purple cup of it and left. Came back to close my tab and it turns out the second beer was $15 dollars. I asked the bartender about it and they just showed me it rang up for that much.
I understand that your prices can go up and down so you don't want to print it but you need to have prices somewhere. It is my fault for assuming that the beer would all be in the same price range as the first one I ordered. Though if this one beer is 2x the others your bartender needs to say so when someone orders it.
Long story short deceptive pricing practices and lack of information available to customers to make informed decisions will make me never spend money with them again and you should...
Read moreGot a feeling somehow the color of my skin resulted in poor service/attention. I've been there a couple times now and I cannot shake that feeling. Was there on 12/3/22 and we came in and stood by the wait to be seated sign. No one else was waiting to be seated, a few tables were open but the staff was very busy. No one even acknowledged our presence for almost 10 minutes. The servers saw us, no one said anything. Finally somone came over and asked how many and then told us it would be a 20-30 minute wait. At least 3 or 4 tables open and we were told that they had several call aheads in front of us....so not reservations but call aheads. And the call aheads were not even there, but we were. Every restaurant I've been to with call ahead means you go to the front of the wait list WHEN you arrive and check in. We left and do not intend to return. I guess our kind and our money are not...
