When we arrived at the Whitesburg Steak Out by the post office, we were greeted with the bad news that their power was out due to an accident by a customer. I had placed the order online and paid before my arrival. When I walked in, a man who was not in uniform asked me about my order and he immediately called the other store by the hospital and placed the order. He offered to go get it and bring it back but I said no. It took me approximately 10 + min to get there and my food was ready when I walked in, even tho they were covered up with customers who I assumed were doing the same. It was not their fault for the accident and not their fault that my order could not be cooked - even tho it was a sorta large order. But the effort that this man took to make sure I was taken care of meant the most to me. We live out of town and do not get deliveries where we are. So this meant a lot instead of me trying to figure out another meal to pick up. I wish there were more kinder folks in this area who are willing to take care of you. 👆UPDATE for 1/11/23: I'm sad to say that I was very disappointed in tonight's dinner order. The steak was so tough, it was like trying to saw through a 2x4 with a butter knife. Granted, I ordered mine medium well, but my son ordered medium rare and had the same results. It just wasn't a good quality of meat. We also ordered the chicken breasts and they were amazing! I just think it was a crummy cut of steak. Made me sad as our family usually...
