Chocolate Gallery — Restaurant in Huntsville

Came in late last week for some treats for the weekend! I'd never been by before but I enjoyed browsing the selection of chocolates and many other treats!

As the name would suggest, this is primarily a chocolate-oriented shop. There are dozens of different chocolate candies, and almost all of them come in at least milk and dark varieties. All kinds of chocolate covered nuts, graham crackers, turtles, and more! There are also some non-chocolate treats like sweet snack mixes and a case that has a smaller selection of baked goods, like cookies or banana bread.

The person working there when I popped in was pleasant and I thought the price was reasonable too.

I got a milk chocolate covered, peanut butter filled graham cracker, milk chocolate covered coconut and pecan shreds, and dark chocolate covered cashews.

My least favorite item was the coconut shred. I think they were a little too finely shredded and I didn't get hardly any pecan pieces at all it felt like. The chocolate was good though.

I enjoyed the peanut butter chocolate graham. It was like a crunchier, more complex Reese's cup.

And my favorite was definitely the dark chocolate covered cashews. Not much bitterness at all to the dark chocolate but not as sweet as the milk chocolate - perfect for me. The cashews were the right texture of slightly crunchy but not uncomfortably so. Would love some more of these in the future!

Will definitely come by again to try more goodies and support local. Great stop for a treat after lunch at nearby Bubby's Diner or as an accompaniment for some Rooster's...

Edit- the woman at the front desk has HORRIBLE customer service skills. They had to fix one of the chocolate Dubai cups because there was literally 90% strawberries in it and 10% of the chocolate Dubai stuff. So I sent my 18 year old son and my 13 year old daughter up there to get it fixed. The woman talked to my 13 year old like she was stupid, and asked her “what do you want me to do about it”. Then only gave her a half cup of what we actually paid for. Seriously the most unprofessional and rude person we’ve met in a very long time. I DO NOT recommend this place. It’s too bad people can’t just do their job with a smile on their face.

Previous review: I had to see what the hype was about when going here. I think the only thing this place has going for them is the Dubai chocolate cup thing, except $15 is a little pricy for that. The store had plenty of space for showing off what their specialties were, but there was literally nothing on the shelves, which made me question why this store was even called a “gallery”. The Dubai chocolate was delicious. I could see myself happily paying $8-$10 for a cup of it. But $15 a cup is still, in my opinion, a little too pricy. But it would be fine to go get one every now and then as a treat. Having multiple kids makes that price extremely high, which may lower how many visits per month we can even go.

All-around amazing experience. I love how they have a decently large selection out in the shop instead of only items in a case. Everything is an incredibly reasonable price, too! The lady I spoke with was so kind and personable, and she was able to answer my questions about what’s in different items.
