My family and I visited Miller’s Table at Cedar Point Resort during a trip from Texas, hoping for a relaxing meal after a day on the lake. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere had potential, but our experience was significantly marred by a group of 6-8 adults at the bar cursing loudly, using profanity, and taking the Lord’s name in vain. With only a few tables in the restaurant, their behavior was impossible to ignore and disrupted our meal for nearly half the time we were there.
I was disappointed that the staff, including the manager who passed by multiple times, did nothing to address the situation. Cedar Point prides itself on being a family-oriented company, and this behavior was far from the inclusive, welcoming environment they promote. After waiting for intervention, I felt compelled to act myself. I approached the bartender, paid the group’s $360 tab (plus a $72 tip), and politely asked them to be mindful of their language, as my wife, young son, and I were trying to enjoy a quiet meal. The group was apologetic, but it was frustrating that I, a guest, had to handle this instead of the staff.
When I raised the issue with the manager afterward, her response was dismissive—she simply said, “I wish you would’ve let me know, I would’ve handled it.” No meaningful apology or gesture was offered, which felt inadequate. While the food was great, the lack of proactive management in maintaining a family-friendly atmosphere left a sour taste. I hope Cedar Point addresses this to ensure future guests can enjoy the experience...
Read moreThe atmosphere and service were great at the Miller’s Table. Also, the old fashioneds we ordered were good, if a little pricey. The food though was overpriced and underwhelming. We ordered the charcuterie board to start. While it tasted fine, it is not very large for $20. I made the mistake of ordering the harvest salad with chicken for my meal. It is probably the worst salad I have ever had. I picked out the chicken, tomatoes, and cheese and left the rest. The rest of my family liked their meals alright (hamburger, pork chop, and bolognese.). Since I was still hungry after my lackluster salad, my husband and I split the peach cheesecake. To be honest, it was a waste of calories. The cheesecake was just okay; it wasn’t very creamy like a cheesecake usually is. Somehow, it had the consistency of mashed potatoes, and the peach “sauce” on top wasn’t very peachy. I left the restaurant pretty...

We visited The Miller’s Table at Sawmill Creek Resort over Easter weekend and had an incredible family dinner. The restaurant blends wilderness-lodge charm with elevated comfort food, and it’s a great way to experience the newly refreshed Sawmill Creek without staying overnight.
The space still has those Bass Pro Shop vibes that longtime locals may remember from the old Salmon Run Restaurant, including beautiful rustic decor and nods to the outdoors. I had a local Ohio Blonde Ale and a bolognese that melted in my mouth—easily one of the best meals I’ve had in the area. The service was warm and welcoming from start to finish.
Whether you’re golfing nearby, visiting Cedar Point, or just local to Huron, make sure you stop in for a meal. The Miller’s Table is a hidden gem you’ll want to come back to...
