Jim's Pizza Box in Huron OH — Restaurant in Huron

Today was my first time here & it was a great experience. Our waitress, Jenn, was awesome. She was very patient & gave really good suggestions from the menu. I was torn between ordering the pick 2 lunch special or just a small personal pizza (to compare with Huron Pizza House across the street). I went with Jenn's recommendation...Rigatoni & side salad (pick 2). The pasta sauce had an authentic taste. The noodles were perfectly done and it had an ample amount of cheese, which had a light golden brown appearance. Jen (one of the cooks in the kitchen & a different person than our waitress) was so kind and brought out a small personal pizza for myself and a friend to try. One half of the pizza was pepperoni and the other half was Old World Sausage. The pizza had just the right amount of cheese & the sausage side had a nice spicy bite to it (but not too much). The restaurant was very clean, it had a nicely stocked bar with an extensive bourbon list. and the restaurant had a very relaxing feel. The staff here are awesome and really friendly. There's no comparison as far as the pizza goes... they have it hands down if comparing to Huron Pizza House. Will definitely...

Updated: We ordered some pizzas and a calzone, and a cannoli. Great presentation and taste! The delivery driver was so nice and careful. Changed rating to 5 stars! We ordered quite a bit of food two calzones, a wrap, fries, garlic bread and pizza for delivery. we received the food in an acceptable amount of time especially given the weather wasn't the best. Everything tasted delicious, it was a little bit more expensive than a chain restaurant but it was definitely worth it. For the first time ever in my cat's 11 years of life I had to fight him for my food. He has never ate human food and he was literally licking the plate, I had to tear it away from him and I'm not sure he's going to forgive me. I have apologized profusely but he still won't look at me in the eyes. Presentation on the calzones could have been much better, everything else looked great. Jim's pizza box is a local restaurant with a very diverse menu. I have been here several times now and the food can be very hit or miss depending on what you order. The calzones are excellent. In my experience the pizza is just alright as the crust was pretty floppy. The salads and sandwiches my relatives have gotten have been satisfactory. The mule I ordered was very good and very strong. They were out of wings the time I tried to order them. The service is good when they are not very busy, but they are definitely under staffed so expect long weights if they are busy.
