We have passed this placed several times and it always had a full parking lot so we knew we wanted to check it out. This past Friday we went at 6pm before things were busy. The drink menu had no prices, something that is becoming common and I don't care for. We got the house margaritas since those were on special. They were good. The food was small portioned which was a disappointment for the price and the queso tasted like they just melted a block of yellow Velveeta and called it a day. One of the worst I have had in a long time. We quickly realized as the restaurant began to fill up that we were the youngest customers there by at least 25years. This place definitely caters to a much older crowd. My biggest critic of the place was the service. The guys refilling bowls of chips were fast and on point, but the waitress we had wasn't. Once we finally got our check it sat with a card in it for almost 30mins being ignored. Strange since you would this they would want to open the table. In frustration I had to take the check to the hostess who I assume was the manager and ask if she could let us pay so we could finally leave. The food was not good enough to warrant a return visit given the portions and service received. In summary if you are over 65, like small plates, and have time to wait this could be the place for you.

Questionable menu pricing and a "tricky" server: This morning I ordered two potato only tacos and an egg taco. The server Eusebio told me that they did not sell potato only tacos. He did say that they served potato AND egg tacos. Last week, I had ordered three potato only burritos without any problems. Anyway, so I ordered two potato and egg tacos and an egg taco. When the tacos came back, the fillings were the size of half a flauta, i.e., very meager fillings for a taco. So I took them as being three tacos. Then I get the final receipt, and I see that they charged me for 3 burritos for $8.85!!! And that is absurd because the burritos that I had last week were bigger and were called burritos. Eusebio seem to play a word sleight of hand talking about tacos. Very disappointed with Miguelito's, to say the least. As a note, I had ordered coffee, and the receipt showed a Diet Coke as part of my order. So I called to speak to the manager, but apparently the manager "Michael" was too busy at the time to respond. I will follow up if and when I get to speak to the Michael.

This message is for management. This is specifically about passing your credit card merchant fees on to your customers. It's wrong, and it is a tacky business practice. Your credit card merchant fees are part of doing business and is a write off come tax season. Stop penalizing your patrons for paying with a card and rather incentivize those who pay cash (give $5 off). If you need more money to cover your credit card fees, raise the price on your food items. Yes, it may all be the same at the end, but your customers do not feel some type of way for covering an expense that is ultimately your responsibility for running a business. Business owners all want cash instead of credit, but in most cases, it's because they are attempting to avoid paying taxes on that money. It makes zero sense to me to be offering deep discounts like Groupons (I did not use one, I just know you are on there often) but turn around and insist customers pay a surcharge for using a card to pay for their meal. It simply leaves a bad taste in people's mouth.

I’ve been a customer of Dos Amores for a long time, and I want to share my honest experience so that people reading reviews can see a clearer picture of this family restaurant.

There was a time when I stopped coming because of the bad management of two former employees, Jesus and Juan. They took advantage of the owners’ trust and unfortunately created a very negative atmosphere. Many of the recent negative reviews you may see are coming from people who are friends or family of those former employees — not from genuine customers.

I say this as a customer don’t think I’m a friend or a family member of the owners, but as a customer who values fairness and honesty. I personally experienced disrespectful behavior from one of those former employees, and I even spoke directly to the owners about it. What I want people to understand is that this does not reflect the true spirit of Dos Amores.

The owners are hardworking, kind people who have always treated customers like family.

They’ve built a warm, welcoming environment where good food and hospitality come first. Since those employees are no longer part of the restaurant, things have changed for the better.

So before believing the negativity spread online, I encourage everyone to visit Dos Amores for yourself — taste the food, meet the staff, and feel the atmosphere. I believe you’ll see what I see: a genuine family business that deserves support, not false criticism.

I’ll personally be returning to enjoy their delicious food, great service, and the warm welcome of the owners. And they’re excellent waitresses and waiters. Three and in particular, it’s an older gentleman. He’s been there for years. Please forgive me. I forgot his name along with Jenny and Maria, and let’s not forget about their , When they’re cooking, they’re not cooking for strangers. They’re not cooking for a paycheck. There cooking like they would be cooking for their Friends and family . I hope you get to meet them in...

Always smells like a bathroom in there and the food isn't great quality. I gave it more than one chance tried a different things and it just isn't good. We do construction and eat at places like this daily. We always keep an eye out for good Mexican food. This place looks great visually but the food is horrible. It's kind of bland for Mexican food and tastes like soap or some kind of cleaner. Especially the ground beef. I though it was just me but multiple people had the same problem on more than one visit. On top of the food being bad, the service every time has been extremely slow even with 1 table per server. They take 10 min to get or even take your drink order. They gave us 10 or 15 chips split into 2 small bowls and 1 small cup of sauce for 4 grown adult men. The servers on every occasion have never come back to check on our table to see if we need refills or even if the food is good. They simply don't return. Good luck getting them to bring you a check too. So if you are in a hurry don't ever eat here or if you want quality Mex food or service. The owner walks around talking to guests and chatting but needs to do more quality control with some type of management head in the kitchen and on the floor. If this place stays open it will stay open due to loyal customers who on both occasions seam to be close friends and family. Or regular customers who wouldn't know real or good Mexican food if it landed in their lap. No offense to white people but that's not Mexican. Not even close. Even our workers from Mexico won't go near it because of the poor quality and just how far away it is from being authentic or tasty. I've even gone alone and had the same...
