Overall, the experience has consistently been underwhelming but today's experience takes the cake. It took 20 minutes to get the tender dinner box, a crispy wrap, and a cherry limeade with easy ice and half of the order was cold by the time I completed my 2 minute drive home, the gravy they asked if I wanted wasn't there, and my drink was missing a few big swigs. (I know what asking for EZ ice means to some folks, but if I pay for the cup I expect it to be full) not to mention some of the tenders were...weird. I can't confirm if they put me in the restroom before I could finish the mostly cold meal, but my stomach felt fine before I started eating and now I'm shivering in the bathroom while I write this.
What makes it worse is the car hop that ran our food looked at us like we cursed her family when I directed her to the passenger side because the stalls aren't big enough to accommodate pickup trucks without cramming in there. Still gave a tip despite not hearing a peep as she gave us our food before she took off without a word. All of this points to a big leadership problem, since the screen in our stall didn't work, app pay wasn't working, the food was trash, drink was mediocre, and staff seemed to have a chip on their shoulder. Read moreI have been stopping at sonic on my way to work for years the mobile app has been great at getting me in and out in the mornings. For a stretch of time there was a car hop that just seemed to be a little slower than everybody else I was practically late for work I had to actually start leaving my house early just to get a drink on the way into work even though I've used my app then Cody started working the morning shift and literally had it right out to me without any wait at all then he went to a different shift and that girl car hop was rehired in the morning shift again and now I am having to wait an unbelievably amount of time to get one drink in the mornings there has been 2 times in a one week span I had, to wait over 10 minutes for one drink, even though I did the call ahead. At this point, I'm thinking about stopping at a different location on my way into work, just so I'm not late, it is very frustrating to use this service that is supposed to better suit the customer and yet, I feel like I am being put at the end of the line when I get there to pick up my order. Overall, I enjoy this sonic, Cody is a great car hop, but in the mornings, it's very frustrating when Rachel is my car hop, and I have to fear being late for work...
Read moreShowed up after placing an online order. We pressed the red button to notify them that we had arrived for our online order. We waited.. and waited.. We watched 8 cars drive up, order, and receive their order before us, we pressed the red button two more times to let them know we're still waiting, and both times they exclaimed "we'll have it right out". Finally, after waiting 45 mins, (6:35-7:25pm), I got out of my car and went to the door and asked how come we're not getting our order, and they went inside and gave it to me within 30 seconds, the food was cold, and the blasts were completely melted. I get that there could have been a miscommunication, or just an overall bad night for some of the staff there, which I totally get, but during this experience, watching all other customers come and go made my girlfriend & I feel irrelevant or forgotten about several times. I asked their manager if I could please get a refund due to waiting so long, and she said she would have to take the food back.
