I've been there a few times, I'm not really crazy about the prices, but I got over them period. There are several complaints I do have about them. First one, they have a $3 convenience fee for debit cards now, and you don't get cash back, if I paid $3 it's usually at the ATM.. And if my order is under $5 at any other location they would only charge me $0.50, these people want $3 for my transaction.. On this particular day they had a sign that they wanted $3 for it convenience fee, the debit card machine was not working, so you wait in this long line to get to the front to find out that you can only use cash because our machine is not working and if it was working we're still going to charge you $3 just to swipe your card.. Outside of charging us $3 for a convenience fee which is ridiculous, and you don't have a sign up that says our debit card machine is down, especially after it takes a while to wait in the line for your food.. The biggest issue is a sanitary problem, out of all the people there are only two or three people have something on their head, they have braids and dreadlocks that's open that's flying everywhere, some of them have gloves on, and the ones that have glove on they wear them the whole time I saw them make 7 orders, without changing their glove once, the man wipes his shirt the table and went right back to making the food.. They have no sanitation buckets whatsoever, there was one dry rag that the guy took off another counter and wiped off his station and put the rag back behind him on the dirty counter that it came from, while I was standing there maybe 5 minutes later oh, another person grabbed the same rag to wipe off another station once again no sanitation solution or water for these racks to sit in or to be cleaned, sanitation is one of the worst issues I seen there, no changing of the gloves that hair is not covered and no sanitation system whatsoever, the food is good but it's not worth getting sick from this place is...

I received onions, cilantro, cheese, jerk sauce beans, peas, and some sort of breading, etc. I was praying it wasn't soy, as for medical reasons I'm restricted from having soy. Therefore, I texted the number on menu to see what I was served. I received a response saying "That is not me"! Then their menu picture was sent with a caption indicating "This is me". I replied "I'm appalled...most certainly is! My family and I traveled a great distance to patronize the establishment for the first time. I'm a pescatarian who only eats veggies and seafood, so I was confused as to what this is on my "VEGGIE" taco, because I didn't see any of these ingredients on your menu. My husband ordered 2 steak, 1 chicken, 1 fish, and 1 veggie at approximately 8pm. Now this is frightening! VERY deplorable!! WHAT DID THEY SERVE ME! This was our first time and we traveled from far suburbs. Unbelievable and very frightening!!!! Read moreOn Feb 12th I placed and paid for an online order for pickup at the west side location directly through the website.
Upon pick up i was informed only 1 of the 3 items I selected are available at that location though they were all available to order on the menu.
They could not refund my payment at the store. They did not offer a gift card to cover the additinal cost, nor did they offer to replace the items with similar items.
This was at 930 pm. The manager provided his number and promised he would speak with the owner and give me a call back.
That did not happen. 1 week later i called the manager again who assured me that he would call back later that day with a solution. He did call, stating he would call back the following day with an update on returning the money to my payment card.
Several days went by without contact from the manager,so I called again. He was "surprised" this had not yet been resolved and said he would speak to the owner the following day.
It's now been an entire month since I ordered from their website, items they said would be available. Items I paid for and was not able to procure from this establishment.
Do NOT order online from Jerk Taco Man or you may not get your items and there will be no refund.
I'm still waiting for my 35 refund on my 50 order a month later. What kind of business can't refund an online order?
