Maya's Pizza — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

DELICIOUS FOOD !! My group got a 10 in NY style pizza, a chicken parm sandwich, beef nachos, a burger, a Mostaccioli pasta, total was 50 bucks. Its close to my neighborhood and I will be back for sure, many times!! and Im definitely agreeing with all the other locals that have ordered here for years and love it.

If you think the 10 in pizza wont fill you up, youre wrong!! The thick crust and the heavy mozzarella fills you up just like homemade pizza. Crust is bready and yeasty in a good way. Cheese was a highlight and tastes fresh. Sauce was excellent. One critique, I wouldnt get the Hawaiian again because the pineapple was old and flavorless. Good ham though.

Nachos were surprisingly good. Heavy toppings and a 10 for flavor. The burger is like the perfect BK whopper but actually good. Will for sure order again because I suspect they will have a consistently good burger every time. I'd order it medium next time though. Fries were a highlight!! Thick and crispy

Chicken parm sandwich was SO GOOD. A strip of chicken breast, likely battered in house and very flavorful. I got it with spinach too. Will DEFINITELY order again.

Only big critique was the pasta. A PLUS is that is only costs 7.50 with mozzarella and i get leftovers. BUT, the mostaccioli was very overdone, not even close to al dente. They should consider par-boiling, or maybe they just overcooked it in the pot. It was also short on sauce, and was crying for some minced garlic, Italian...

Moved to the east side from far south about 2010 and tried many different pizza places until we came across Maya's, the pizza was great.

The problem with this business is customer service!!!! They offer an option to pay with credit card as long as you show the card and ID to the driver upon delivery. My experience is that when asking for your card number, if you or them make any sort of human error they will decline usage of your card by telling you that the card isn't going through for purchase. I've made a request to use another card, they'll say ok but told me that card isn't going through. Upon complaint and asking to speak to a manager I was refused a manager and told to go to the ATM to get cash for my delivery, which defeats the purpose of using my card because if I need to leave out, I might as well make it a pick up. I experienced rudeness while trying to get to the bottom of what was taking place, such as loud talk and cutting me off in mid sentence. As a customer displaying such loyalty for 7 years the least I deserve is to be able to use a service you claim to provide. This has happened multiple times over the years and today was the last time. Always a pleasure to pick up one of their extra extra thin crust pizza since I live way out of their boundaries. Their sauce is delicious!!!! If you like thin crust then you need to address and say EXTRA EXTRA THIN CRUST. THEY'RE NOT MIND READERS.As far as service goes, talk nice to them like civilized people with please and thank you like mom and dad taught you and your experience will be beautiful. If you caught a attitude, then carry yourself better. If you're on the south this is the best pizza sauce, crust thin like a cracker. [if you mention extra extra thin crust]If you're in the northside of Chicago, then Johns pizza on western just north of Armitage on the west side of the street is the place to be.
