Panaderia Marzeya — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

Today March, 28, 2024 my parents went to pick up my birthday cake. REALLY bad service they asked the one working there at the time to take the cake out, instead charged (or tried to) $3 for the box the cake comes in and making my parents feel like she's telling them to get the cake themselves. like that's her job why can't she go get the cake. Also cake doesn't come in like how you want it, we asked for a 3 leches cake and vanilla flavor. instead we got a chocolate cake with no 3 leches even when the worker there at the time told us it was. I was planning on working there a few months ago but after hearing the bad reputation I decided not to. Get the cake somewhere...

I spent a lot of time in Mexico as a kid and I crave bread that reminds me of Mexican bakeries. My husband was raised in West Africa and he also craves bread that reminds him of West African bread. Panadería Marzeya fulfills that craving for both of us - the bread reminds me of Mexico and it reminds my husband of west African bread. For me, the flavor and texture of the bread at Marzeya is unmatched and I’ve driven throughout the whole city to try different panaderías. Marzeya has this pan de nata that will transport you to Mexico.

Si buscas un pan que te recuerde de tu mexico lindo y querido, pasa a Marzeya. El pan que producen tiene un sabor y una textura que no se compara con otras panaderías. Unas de mis piezas favoritas son los bolillos rellenos de queso/jalapeño y el pan de Nata. Les recomiendo panadería...

It's fresh. It's tasty. It's a family business. I absolutely love the bread here, it's simple but so good. I've been coming here for over 10 years, and it's one the best things South Chicago has to offer! Excellent bakery worth...
