Subway — Restaurant in Hyde Park Township

There is a “Sub-Sandwich-Surgeon”, and his name is Jake! My sister took a place in line behind 3 customers. I sat and watched an employee working alone, taking each customers order, confirming their special ingredients, with a quiet, but clearly understandable voice.His hands moved quickly, as he carefully picked up and placed every requested ingredient. I watched him wait patiently and listen to any customers requests for changes in their order. I watched each customer exchange pleasantries with each other while waiting in line and each customer talked pleasantly with Jake at the cash register, and rushed out of the door! My sister stepped up with specific request for 4 different 12-inch subs. As a Health Professional, I enjoyed comparing this customer experience to a medical visit. Jake listened quietly to request, he confirmed information- worked quickly with the skill and precision of a surgeon! As my sister completed her payment, I asked questions, I thought that with his dedication , he may be the owner. This man replied humbly that he “loved” his job at SUBWAY..”no I’m not the owner”! He was gracious and thanked us for our compliments. SUBWAY! Where is our option to leave a gratuity- who’s carrying cash?? Would I come back to give him a tip… definitely “yes”! Now I see why everyone rushed out the door, we had a mouth-watering experience watching him prepare our subs. We got our prescriptions filled, and a bonus-SUBWAY sandwiches made with the extra ingredients of “love”, and “dedication”! yall do NOT get food from this place. i had gotten food poisoning 5 years back from this place and i was throwing up and having explosive diarrhea nd had to miss a day of school. now i had this same place cuz any normal person would think that in 5 years i shouldnt get food poisoning again, right?
