Mexican Food La Carreta — Restaurant in Idaho Falls

This food truck/bus has a unique layout. The menu is large and covers the full outside of the bus, there's no question of what you are getting with each option. We were a bit confused about how to order until I peeked inside the door. Was it ever surprised! There's a chrome bar with seating for dinning on both sides bus, with a smaller kitchen area in the back potion. A smaller menue with pricing is on both wall dividing the kitchen and dinning areas. The open concept allows for a clear view of the food being prepared. The whole bus was well lit, very CLEAN and a welcoming atmosphere. It was easy to order food and both men in the kitchen were quite friendly. The food was awesome and good sized portions. We chose to eat outside on one of the picnic tables provided. We enjoyed our experience here and wil definitely return...

If I could give zero stars I would. Was the worst customer service I've ever had at a place. The two guys working were very rude and didnt seem to know what they were doing. The wait time so absolutely ridiculous. When I asked the guys for my recite they couldnt even give me one and didnt even ask me if I wanted one. My client loces mexican food and was so disappointed. There portions were tiny and the price was way experssive. There ceviche was the wrost Ive ever had. It was way to liquidy and the shrimp was overcooked and dry. I will never go back to this place. I was mostly upset by the poor customer service skills, the rudeness and the wait time being close to 20 minutes and the fact that had gotten 2 other orders out before mine when I ordered before the other people came in....

The food is pretty good. They use lettuce instead of cabbage, which is more of a preference on my part than a critique on them. It had a good flavor to it, and they have more variety than a lot of the buses/vans do. They cost a little more, but their portions are bigger. I was on the search for some really authentic tostadas, and I think what they have is a smidge on the tex-mex side. But just a smidge. It was still really satisfying. The salsa wasn't really spicy, but I didn't ask for something super spicy and no one is out to kill their customers. They can't know your personal threshold. Overall it was tasty, and...
