We stopped by today to place a to go order. It’s Sunday and they were obviously busy and packed. The lady taking my order was definitely not able to handle the busy day and took my order completely wrong. I had asked for two orders of flautas with no cheese or sour cream. She looked at me like I was crazy and had to call someone from the back to take my order and still it was made completely wrong we got home and guess what there was sour cream and cheese on my flautas. I repeated the order and she repeated it back to me so I honestly don’t know how it got made wrong. She answered the phone in the middle of my transaction and told the customer on the phone she can’t take orders because she’s extremely busy the customer on the phone asked what the wait time was she answered about 25 minutes. You’re telling me you could answer the phone to say you couldn’t take an order but still answered the phone? After my order was taken someone behind me was placing an order and they also had some modifications and the lady taking the order asked him to order something else because his order was too complicated and her cooks were going to get mad at her….the customer looked at her and said never mind cancel that and walked out. That’s most definitely not good customer service and the main reason I’m giving it a one star if I could they wouldn’t even be getting a one star. Maybe hire someone to specifically take to go orders over the phone and that is good to work under pressure and hire cooks that won’t get mad at customer modifications to their orders. I’ve worked in the food industry and understand it can be stressful but this was...
Read moreUgh, I really wanted to love this place as much as my boyfriend does. My first impression was that is was a charming, tucked away location... we were greeted with a smile and welcomed in... which was likely because there was no one else in the restaurant. We did show up 15 minutes prior to closing but they didn't make us feel like an inconvenience or rushed at all. I ordered the Chile Verde burrito and waited no longer than 5 minutes for it to be handed over. It was huge! Very good portions for the price and it smelled wonderful. Unfortunately that's where my impression takes a sharp turn. My burrito was nothing like Chile Verde. No sign of delicious green sauce in sight. The pork was shredded, not chunks and tasted much more like carnitas in my opinion, though... there was plenty! Very nice ratio of meat to beans and rice. But the grease! Not good. I took about 4 bites before my stomach began to turn from the oozing of oil. I used just as many napkins and my entire plate surface glistened. I felt ill immediately. Disappointing altogether. Like I said, I really wanted to like this place. I do think there are positives but I would never order a Chile Verde burrito there again and that means I won't be going there when I get a craving for my most favorite food. I also am turned off by the potential for a greasy mess. The carne asada my boyfriend ordered was fantastic and appeared to be missing the grease. Seems hit and miss, even during...
Read moreJust went here on Saturday and my friend and I both ordered the “Papasito Burrito.” Hands down the best Mexican food I’ve had in Idaho Falls. The burrito was MASSIVE, literally almost the size of my forearm. The carne asada was very flavorful and the fries were fresh inside the burrito. (I got mine without sour cream). The price was $8.99 which is around the normal price for a burrito I would say but this thing was definitely a bang for your buck. The green guacamole salsa they gave us to go with the burrito was also extremely flavorful and had a tiny kick to it, super good. I also ordered the Coconut Horchata to go with my food and it was amazing! Highly recommend this place for anyone who lives or is visiting this area. You won’t be disappointed, trust me.
(I included the salt shaker next to my burrito just for size comparison)
Update: Since I can’t leave multiple reviews, but I have been back here multiple times and normally gotten the same burrito over and over but yesterday I decided to try the “Tapatía” since I have seen many people get it every time I go. It was freakin’ amazing as well. It’s basically a deep fried quesadilla with carne asada, cheese, diced tomatoes, red onion, lettuce & cotija cheese. The price for it was $10.99 and very filling. Would highly recommend getting the tapatía! (Shown in the...
