Will be calling the health department about this place on Monday. I am beyond appalled at the cleanliness of country donuts. The two men working when we went in were disgusting. And that's a major understatement. They were so filthy and the one who served us had a massive wad of chew in his lower lip. Lord only knows if he washed his hands after putting that in his mouth. But based on appearances, he couldn't have cared less about cleanliness or germs. He came from the back where he was preparing the next day's donuts. No gloves, no hair net over his greasy hair. Neither him or the guy who rang up our donuts were even remotely friendly. We were the only ones there and they both seemed irritated that they had to come out from the back to help us. There were only a few donuts left and we didn't want to disappoint our son who was promised a donut after an event. There was one donut left of the kind he wanted but it was ripped in half. Of course we still paid full price for a donut I imagine was dried out in the middle. But we will never know for sure because my husband returned them all the next morning. He asked to speak to an owner or manager, he explained why he was returning the donuts and her response was abrupt and she couldn't have cared less. She also didn't seem remotely surprised to hear about the chew or condition of the men the night before. So my advice to you is, if you care at all about who has touched the food going in your mouth, do...

I want to rate them 5 stars because they are always so friendly and helpful, not the fastest, but they do their jobs well. even though I don't stop in enough to be "known" by staff - usually once every couple of months.

They have way more than donuts: Coffee/Basic Espresso, Shawarma (a Middle Eastern meat and veggie filled, yummy, pita), Baklava, & other stuff. The main reason I give them less than 5 stars - Their branding is off. They're like a donut shop and some type of deli. They may have breakfast, but I usually end up wanting their pastries and don't bother with even looking for breakfast items.

They stop serving the food items before close and will sell out of donuts, especially the much-loved items. They are an early day place that can close before you expect them to. I'd call if you're unsure. They are family oriented and, like I said, very helpful. They'll do special orders without complaint and it's obvious they have good intentions for their customers. ❤️

The employees are often busy and don't always clean the dining area so if you arrive in the middle of a rush, you might need to clean your own table if you want to keep them serving food as fast as possible while giving back helpfulness and smiles in return for their continued kindness...

Being from the Northeast, I have been unsuccessful in the hunt to find a place that makes donuts similar to Dunkin Donuts.

Until now.

Guru's donuts are more gourmet, they're not something you can gluttonously consume until you can't see your feet. Krispy Kreme is too light, I could eat a hundred before I start to get full. Country Donuts, however... that's where it's at.

My favorite is the classic maple bar. That's what I started with on my first trip here, along with a regular chocolate donut. I wanted to case the joint before I started to dig in to what it had to offer. I was not disappointed, I was met with the nostalgic consistency and flavors that brought me back home to Rhode Island. Now the donuts aren't exactly similar, but compared to the other establishments I've listed, this is the closest it gets to home.

Country Donuts, thank you for staving off my homesickness for donuts.

The missing star is just for cleanliness, it does seem to be an issue if you look around the building. The floors are dusty and the baseboards are starting to yellow. It doesn't affect the freshness of the...

I’ve had donuts from every corner of the Treasure Valley, and I’ve tasted my way through bakeries in multiple states—but nothing compares to Country Donuts in Boise. These are, hands down, some of the best donuts I’ve ever had in my life, and I don’t say that lightly. The texture? Perfectly fluffy and moist. You bite in and it’s like clouds of sweet decadence melting in your mouth. Every flavor hits. Whether you’re into classics or creative twists, there’s this buttery richness and pillowy softness that most shops just can’t pull off. They’re not overly greasy, not too sweet, just balanced and indulgent in the best way possible. This place deserves to be on a national list. Boise might not be known for donuts, but Country Donuts could seriously change that. If you’re a true donut lover, make this your next stop. I’d put them up there with the best in the country.

another huge win for COUNTRY DONUTS! First picture: from left to right we have a plain maple bar, blueberry cream cheese bear law, vanilla chocolate chip donut and cherry fritter. these were gone in a couple hours, some of the best donuts in the 208! Second picture: Some the best donuts I’ve ever had, definitely on the top of the list of best donuts in Boise. From left to right: forgot what the first one was, maple bar, vanilla cake, apple fritter and tiger tail. Not only were these delicious but the prices were super reasonable! 100% recommend! 🍩🥛💕

We've lived across the street from Country Donut for nearly 25yrs. The original owners were more generous with the glazes and frostings. The current owners have the same great selection however the donuts are starved for glaze and frostings. Everything appears to be homemade though and they're open pretty early which is nice for a box on the way to work. More frosting and glaze needed please...
