I recently had my money and credit cards stolen in Boise, i'm 62 years old and disabled retired lawyer. Saturday morning this morning matter of fact I had occasion to go to the DB on Vista Ave where I have been buying coffee many times more than twice a day for over 9 months. So I related my situation to the Manager Alea, and I asked if it would be okay to get coffee today and tomorrow and since I had no credit cards nor money until Monday and pay her on Monday in the afternoon because I was robbed she said yes and that was the extent of the conversation. I thought no more about it.
Unfortunately for me I had occasion to go there tonight where two girls were working, I honestly don't know their names, ordered the usual overpriced at best 3 dollar cup of Americana coffee as I always do, and reiterated my conversation with their Manager Alea, concerning my paying for coffee gotten this weekend and paid for on Monday. The one girl excused herself and obviously went and called her manager, as if I was trying to rip DB off and I was in my car a cadillac. What ensued next was so unbelievable that It caught me so by surprise I had to leave and come back to the coffee shack, where I immediately returned the coffee and promptly told them how ridiculous that comment was and that it embarrassed both them and me, and I told them if DB needs to ward off good customers like myself after I have literally spent thousands of my hard earned pension and disability money they could keep their f____ing coffee and I would never come back. Then some punky looking kid asked what he could do for me and I asked for the number of the main office and a contact person. He immediately got snotty and gave me a DB card with some number scribbled on it without a contact person, I called the number it switched to another store Milwaukee actually and I told the story again to a person that held himself out to be Jeremy. He said he was sorry about all this and obviously knew I was really perturbed at DB for taking what I would characterize as inept and heartless business decision with not much thought put to it. Jeremey promised he would get someone in their main office to get back with me on Monday I guess we will see what the big bosses think, but until then DB can keep their high priced garbage and drink it themselves! I am really upset at this treatment, specially when I have never asked for a favor or anything of the like before! A company that condones this kind of decision making only cares about money not their customer retention
THE MORAL OF THE STORY IS: DON'T GET ROBBED AND tHINK THAT DUTCH BROTHERS HAS YOUR BACK...
Read moreOn our way back to Oregon from Texas we stopped by to grab some caffeine for the 7hour drive ahead. There were three employees, but only one (Tyler) was actually working while the two female employees were on their phones with one literally sitting in the window, chatting away with their friend in the drive through while ignoring the fact that they had customers waiting for their friend to move up. There was another car behind that one & then us with more piling in behind. Tyler took all of our orders, sent us all to the parking lot (because the girls friend could not be bothered to moveâŚ.) made them & then ran our drinks out to us. As we pulled away I went to take a picture so that the manager could know who it was & the girls quickly made it seem like they were working, their friend in the red car was was still holding up the line as we were driving off & Tyler was still taking more orders and running them out. If this was my franchise Iâd certainly be firing those employees as it doesnât seem like this is the first time (see previous reviews stating similar encounters) Tyler deserves a raise & promotion as he was running the whole thing himself while still maintaining good customer service even though he was being pulled in all directions while the other two were being paid to hang outâŚ5 stars to Tyler 0 stars to the other two & whoever the manager is who is clearly not managing...
Read moreI am a Dutch fan! I visit a stand at least once a day. I just drink the black office with half and half (Americano), which you can get nearly anywhere-- but you don't get the convenience, friendly conversation, and see people having fun at work. PLus it's only $2.25! Starbucks is over $3.50 and, to me, doesn't taste as good.
I've driven by this one several times but have never stopped-- until now.
I can get my kiddo a not-so-hot chocolate and my dog a treat (FREE, YAY!), too! I like the Bros mainly because of its people. Seriously, I don't know how they hire so many amazing people! Save some for us that need good employees!! My kiddo asked for a dog treat at this one and was given a cup with whipped cream and dog treats-- they called it a dog-a-chino (if I remember correctly). It was cute and my dog slopped it all up!
My brother in law gets a sugar free blended soda, which is very similar to a coffee without the calories. He also makes lots of different drinks with their many sugar-free syrups making the guild a little less than going full-on calorie.
Oh and Google Dutch Bros secrete menu-- lots more fun stuff like the BOB Marley, Dinosaur egg, Ninja Turtle and much more!
Keep up the...
