I wouldn't normally leave a bad review because I work in a restaurant myself and I waitress occasionally. And maybe it was an off day and maybe it was because we got there at 8 and they don't like serving dinner past 8 I'm not sure what time they close but there was lots of people at the bar still so we assumed we weren't too late for dinner the food was terrible and the service wasn't great either the girl was nice but we were the only other table besides one other larger table and she couldn't bring the salad before the meal or the appetizer which was nachos for 3 year old because he was super hungry thank goodness he held it together we waited a long time for all the food to come out at once the nachos had hard cheese like it was nuked in a microwave too long you could barely eat it we barely touched it I ordered a Reuben thinking an Irish place with fresh sliced corned beef as it stated on the menu for this item would be great but there was hardly any meat too much sauerkraut and my husband got the fish and chips the fish was soggy and fell apart when you picked it up he was not happy. I had to ask for a water and once my kid was done with his lemonade I had to share my water with him after we got our food she never asked to refill our drinks until we were done. never asked how the food was or I would have let them know. My one coctail...
Read moreI remember this place from my childhood!! Not much has changed over the years except the name. My elderly father still loves to tell stories about rhe original Mike. They do a good bar business with strong drinks and cold beer. The delightful bartender was amazing as always. I think she may secretly be a Power Ranger. She was hostess, waitress, bar tender, busser and cashier. She kept everyone happy.
O'Michaels is in our rotation of regular haunts, not just because we are only a few blocks away, but because the food is great and who can ever have enough of gazing onto a water buffalo's eyes? The Ruben is freaking awesome. Homemade CB, and kraut. My honey loves their Swiss Dip and the hamburgers. The finger steaks are always good and the fries are to die for. They went downhill for a time, but we suspect they have gone back to their original recipe because they are a Deliscious treat again!
Check em out on the way up the hill or back down. Try them just because. Hope you enjoy them as...
Read moreUpdated review... We stopped in after playing up at Bogus Basin again. The server was attentive and the mushroom said burgers were great, but the onion rings were just so-so this time, and the portion I got was rather small (especially considering that you pay an extra dollar to substitute them for the fries that come with the burger). I also had a cup of lamb stew, which was very good.
Original review... Stopped here for a bite and drinks after skiing on the slopes -- it's right there at the bottom of the hill once you're back in civilization. They had a band that was really good. The server was attentive and friendly. Good burger, and the best...
