Just driving through town on the way to Salton Sea. We were trying to go somewhere else for breakfast, but it was Christmas Eve and the other place was closed. A friendly guy recommended we try Maria's, so we headed over to this little taqueria in a gas station. All the ladies working here were welcoming and helpful. This place has GOOD FOOD !! I recently uncovered this gem when I had to stop and put gas . I decided to order a burrito.....not only was it delicious but very reasonably priced . I encourage everyone to go, you will not be disappointed! I’m planning on going with husband and try some Birria and menudo. I attached a picture of my burrito, I basically built my own burrito with no problem . Ingredients on mine was Beans, egg, cheese and bacon ....

Honestly, the only thing I liked here was the machaca taco — it was really good. I also tried the chicharrón tacos with both the green and red salsa, and they just weren’t it. The red salsa tasted like the same chile used for chilaquiles, and the green one was super salty. Both tacos were really dry too — I’ve never had chicharron guisado tacos this dry and salty before.
