Pizza Hut — Restaurant in Independence

I noticed my delivery time doubled between time ordered and while in process. I called the store to cancel and lady told me that my order was coming out of the oven if I wanted to run up there and pick it up. We drove up there and my husband waited 10 minutes while she ran around to get our order together. She then told him that they gave our order to another customer so they put a similar order together( which was not even close). What we received was not fresh. She asked my husband if he would like to leave the delivery tip on the order that we went to pick up. Kind of a no brainer. I had him take that mess back inside and get a refund. Another 10 minutes. While he was inside I ordered lil Ceasars which We picked up 2 blocks down in 13 minutes. We repeatedly have service issues with this pizza hut. Not sure why. Has been like this for a long time. I would give it less than 1 star if I could. Ordered twice from this location and we have yet to get our order without having to call to find out where it's at. They say 40 minute delivery time, yet 1 1/2 hours in and when we call, I get the same answer if, "It's being cut and will be delivered momentarily." 30 more minutes and nothing. Note we live 3 minutes away from location. Call back and can't get any answer. Go to location and find our pizza sitting on a shelf waiting for delivery driver who is on a break. Manager tried to give me the pizza that was cold, greasy and looked disgusting. I asked for a remake which was met by attitude. Had to call the delivery number who called the store and told them to remake the food. To say I am disappointed would be an understatement. Not only do we constantly have issues with this location since the territories were reassigned but today my husband with debilitating anxiety got the surprise of a city inspector knocking on our door. He was there on a claim reported by a "delivery driver" that our front stairs were unusable and that our front deck was falling apart (this location is the only place who has delivered in the last month). This was deemed by the city inspector to not only be untrue but a waste of time. To have someone claim falsely about the state of our home is not only embarrassing but it caused my husband who has seizures due to his anxiety (who had already had several seizures today before this happened) unnecessary stress and anxiety and wasted the time of a city official....
