Shanghai Garden — Restaurant in Independence

We ( My husband, Myself and 2 grandchildren)when in to eat at 2;30 the food that was on the buffet had been out there for a while and some of it you could tell should have been changed out before it was the broccoli was almost brown in color ,the lemon chicken had a sauce was runny like it had water put in it instead of thick like it normally was. they were runny low on food and just before we got ready to leave they started to put out new food on the buffet and the waitress gave us our ticket and it was marked $8. each and the older lady behind the counter at check out took and changed the amount from $8. to $13. and when he told her she acted like she didn't hear him and when he told her a second time she just said your amount is $54,00 which is a lot to pay for food that had been sitting out to long it is one thing to pay $8. for food but another to pay dinner prices...

me and my girlfriend and my 2 an 4 year old went 2 eat was 37.00 tha food was so nasty both of my kids spit tha food out I couldn't even eat one plate I went back 2 their buffet and got an their plate and tha food still nasty egg roll tasted old and rotten...I have ate at both Chinese chef in parsons ks and they where Awesome....butt this is one of nasty one I have been in and they didn't even have French dressing tha salad was turning brown tha floor s are nast tha buffet glass is nast from old food grease my little family left hungry and still had 2 pay tha 37 .00$$ this was a family outing turn bad ...if you want to have a Chinese food experience go else where I give this place thumbs down I felt mugged and had Diarrhea later on...

If I could give it a zero I would. Food was absolutely disgusting. The waitress was nice, the receipt had no area for tip. The dinner pricing is extremely overpriced for the quality and variety of food, which was lacking. The waitress brought the receipt and took my card and brought back my copy that needed to be signed. As my three kids and I were leaving, the older man at the counter literally stopped us and yelled across the dining area infront of diners whether we had signed the receipt. Basically insinuating we were stealing or dining and dashing. DISGUSTING!!!! This place is absolutely horrid. Avoid at all cost. Can't believe the poor waitresses do not get tips because there is no option for tips on the receipt. Psssshhhhh...
