Goodies Restaurant & Carryout — Restaurant in Indian Head

I'm stuck in the area several nights a week. Don't go out often, but the handful of times I've been to Goodie's, I've been very pleased. I saw a tripadvisor review saying the teriyaki chix sub was awful. Musta' been a off-day, because I got one and it was really good. The Chinese dishes I've had were very good and plentiful. Most recently, I had their gyro. I know, huge risk, but it was excellent. Meat was flavorful and crispy on the outside. Loaded with sauce, tomatoes, onions, etc. I've had gyros at Greek restaurants for 3 times the price that didn't come close. If you want flavorful food at reasonable prices (and good helpings), this place has been consistently good. They're also open when no other restaurants are (Monday nights). Atmosphere is non-existent - as far as I can tell, still takeout...

I ordered Hunan shrimp and orange chicken in an egg rolls. Quite naturally I did not open my food until I got home I started eating the Hunan shrimp and there was a hair in it a long strand of hair. No it wasn't mine as my hair is in braids and it's black not Brown. In addition to that before I found the hair there was something wrong with the sauce it was who man or supposed to be but it was a stick tasty sauce so I knew something was wrong when I open it but I still try to give it a chance needless to say.... that ruined it for that meal. I bought the orange chicken for my husband he said he wouldn't eat it after what I just went through so we had to throw away two dishes 20 something dollars and the only thing I can eat with an egg roll what a waste sorry Goodies I will...

it's an okay place. the building & atmosphere inside is a little bland b/c it's attached to a liquor store. anyways; it's a simple, no-frills Chinese carryout. just walk up, order your food, and wait.

the portions are pretty big for how much you pay for it. but that sometimes comes at the loss of quality. the food itself is a mixed bag. they have wide selection ranging from traditional American to provincinal Chinese food. beware of some of the American food it is very hit or miss whether it'll make you sick or not.

however, they do have a good selection of sodas, the woman at the counter is reasonalbly nice, & your food gets out quick. it's a great place for...
