Omelette was not cooked completely and egg was runny. I cut it with my fork 3-4 times and each spot it was not done. We shared this with the waitress who said she would take it back to the kitchen to have it re-made. When she brought it back out is was glaringly obvious that it was the same omelette we sent back, with the same cuts in it I had made with my fork, just possibly microwaved to finish cooking it. I could have accepted this had the waitress not lied and said, “She re-made it but just cut it a few times this time to make sure it was done.” When she came back to the table later, seeing that I had not eaten it and asked if it was okay, I explained that it was obvious that it was the same omelette, as it was cut exactly where I had cut it with my fork in several places. The waitress continued to deny this stating, “She re-made it, I stood there and watched her. She just cut it again to make sure it was done.” I questioned, “In the same exact places I had cut it?” Why lie? Why not just say we will microwave it for you? No apology. Nothing. On top of this, being seated at a tiny table right next to the door while customers opened and closed it repeatedly allowing cold air to pour in, and a crammed seating environment, I can say we won’t be back. We have always gone to the Crouse’s in Shelocta but thought we would try something new today. Big mistake. We will stick with Crouse’s in Shelocta. It’s a much nicer environment with staff who are extremely...
Read moreAfter eating at Cannella Cafe this afternoon, I felt the desire to write a review. Cannella Cafe is the perfect place to meet with someone to enjoy the cute atmosphere and delicious food. I have never been disappointed with a meal there. The food always arrives at the table hot and tasting freshly made. The servers work hard and are attentive to their tables, greeting each customer with a smiling face. The prices are comparable to other establishments with the same food choices, yet this food tastes so much better and arrives at the table with amazing speed. That also makes it a great place to eat when on a limited lunchbreak time from work. The Indiana location makes their espresso drinks using Commonplace Coffee which is my favorite especially because it is a quality, local company. I am grateful for this wonderful eatery in the heart of...
Read moreI just ate here for breakfast and was very disappointed. I ordered a veggie omelet with no peppers, a blueberry pancake, and a side of hash browns. The omelet came with peppers and had canned mushrooms that I had to pick out because they didn't taste good and had the rubbery texture that canned vegetables usually have. The hash browns came McDonald's style in a greasy pressed patty instead of the shredded potato you would normally expect from a diner-type establishment. The pancake was decent, but the breakfast was definitely overpriced for the poor quality of food you get. I normally don't write reviews because I would rather voice my opinions directly to the restaurant. However, I tried to talk to my server about how disappointed I was with my meal, but she cut me off and walked away without listening. I wouldn't recommend this...
