I called at 10:56 am to place a pick up order for lunch. When I was taken off hold, the man asked how he could help me, "I asked if I could place a pick up order for 12pm and he says "yes." Very bluntly and sounding irritated. I then accidentally referred to the just for lunch special that had penne, spaghetti, rigatoni as the "spaghetti lunch special" and the man on the phone had such a rude attitude, after a deep sigh he says "we DON'T have a spaghetti lunch special." And I clarified what I meant and he responds "yes, it's just a smaller portion size." His condescending and rude attitude was extremely unnecessary. I wish I had the audio to back me up here, but man, what a rude encounter. I said, "you know what? Never mind. Never mind" and hung up. If my business is a problem to you when all I wanted to do was order two orders of the just for lunch spaghetti, then I'll take my business elsewhere.
It's a shame since my family loves Tom's but as long as I'm going to be treated like I'm stupid when making a call in order, I won't...
Read morePassing through town, we stumbled upon Tom's Pizza and Restaurnt and glad we did. The dinning area was packed and inviting. Although I can see why their lighting is set up like it is, the individual table lighting is blinding. The menu is a mix of Mediterranean and Italian. We ordered our food and the wait was way to long. After 50 minutes and three tables that came after got there food, we finally got ours. Although we received no explanation we chucked it up as kitchen mix up...hey it happens. The food was worth the wait and I felt like my mouth was Emeril Lagasse with every bite...BAM BAM BAM. The kitchen is not afraid of seasoning and my meal was absolutely delicious. We've returned to Tom's several times and each time the wait for food was 40-50 minutes so it appears to be a normal thing. If you want to eat delicious food and time is not an issue or restraint then Tom's is a good choice for delicious, well seasoned food. My family will...
Read moreI've ordered from here a number of times and each one has been a disappointment. For example, yesterday I ordered a fish sandwich in a lunch order with some of my co-workers expecting it to be similar to Venice Pizza, or 9th Street Deli especially for the price of nearly $8. What I got was something worse than what would be on an elementary school lunch. The "fish" was over fried, incredibly thin and didn't even cover the bun. Also, NO TOPPINGS (unless you pay extra of course). It was pitiful. I ended up taking the "fish" off of the bun and it actually cracked apart. All of my other co-workers were also disappointed in their order. In the past, I've ordered their salads and each one left me feeling ripped off. Italian Village Pizza and 9th Street offer twice the portion size for basically the same price point. NEVER ORDERING...
