Harry's Taphouse & Kitchen — Restaurant in Indiana

We love Harry’s and we tell all of our friends how much we love Harry’s! We were frequent flyers of the downtown Jeff location and were super excited that they decided to open a second location close to us. Service, food and drink qualities are exactly on par with their downtown Jeff location. Somehow they have found the nicest people to employ, the food I would classify as “elevated bar food”. I have a severe food allergy, and always feel there is plenty on their menu that I can eat without getting sick.

A special thank you for adding more dishes that have fish, I have appreciated this! Some of my favorites are the buffalo cauliflower, fish sandwich, the salmon, Thai broccoli, and the blackened shrimp with rice.

A few suggestions from frequent patrons:

Please consider including a knife with the forks in the napkins. It makes scooping food onto the fork easier and makes for better table manners.

Would be appreciated if there were allergen icons next to each menu item.

Maybe 1 or 2 vegan entree options would lbe...

We love Harry’s Taphouse and this is a great space for a second location! HOWEVER while we were eating this evening there was an older blonde woman popping back and forth from behind the bar to the food prep area. Several times making the comment “I’m not even on the clock and I’m helpin you all out.”while laughing. At one point we watched her carry an “overage” of an alcoholic drink to the food prep area and drink it. And then proceeds to PULL A COMB OUT AND COMB THROUGH HER HAIR WHILE STANDING IN THE FOOD PREP AREA!!!! When she turned around and saw that I was watching proceeds to say “I’m not around any food”. I don’t care if you are around food or not. 1) she was definitely old enough to know better and if not then she needs retrained and 2) whether she was “around food” or not, she was in the area where plates were being prepared to take to customers and standing in front of tables combing her hair. Gave this location two opportunities. I have visited the downtown location many many times. Was so excited one opened closer to my house. The first visit the service was below average and the margarita was not good, it was very watered down and poorly made. Food wasn’t bad. Gave it a second chance tonight. The food was average and not bad, however we were literally charged four dollars for ice to be added to two drinks! Spent over a hundred dollars on food and they charged us for ice!!! They offered to get a manager after we had paid and noticed it, but it shouldn’t have happened to begin with. What a ridiculous crazy up charge.. This has never happened at the other location downtown. We unfortunately will not be back to the new location. Highly recommend the...
