Antojitos Carmen Restaurant & Taqueria — Restaurant in Indianapolis

This place is great! This place is a small family (or at least it felt that way) resturant. Very friendly staff/cooks etc. it really reminded me of restaurants in south Texas. This place does NOT need to put “authentic Mexican” because trust me it is. Place was clean, welcoming and casual. Plenty of parking. Food is so good. I had the gorditas and the portions are generous. Several different salsas available all delicious. Food is made to order. They had a variety of drinks besides aguas frescas. They offer fountain, or canned sodas. They have a variety of deserts. I had the flan chocolate it was perfect. credit cards and apple pay are accepted. So they offer convenient payment methods. You do have a waiter/waitress so you can tip when you pay or there is a tip jar. The waiter was attentive and the order was exactly what was ordered. It appears to seat about 20-25 people so it wouldn’t be good for a big groups of over 6-8. I also didn’t notice if they served beer or liquors, because I was to busy eating the delicious food! I was impressed. Love it....

I’m new to the area and this place is down the street from me. I got pretty hungry one afternoon and decided to call in an order for an asada burrito with a side of queso. It took about 15 minutes but my burrito was fresh, steak was very tender, they customized it the way I asked (no tomatoes, add diced onion), and it was very tasty! Very reasonably priced and friendly service as well. Apparently there are a lot of great Mexican restaurants in Indy that I still need to try, but I’ll definitely be coming back to this one whenever I need...

This place is so unique it is right across from IndyGo on West Washington Street very miles secure place everyone has a great attitude the food is outstanding you know depending on what you like myself I like tamales and tacos and enchiladas and a few other dishes that they prepared that I think that are off the chain so when you get time please stop by answer Julio's karma restaurant remember it is right across the street from indigo at Harding and Washington you can't miss it I hope this information does you good God bless you...
