Ok, let's review. Found out this place was just down the road from work so I gave it a try. Short version: worth it.
I ordered a pizza, a "rib dinner", and a "pizza sub".
The pizza was much, MUCH better than I expected. Good, thick layer of cheese with good sauce and decent toppings. I wouldn't look for it to win any awards, but if you were looking for that hole-in-the-wall restaurant that has awesome daily fare, this is it. Satisfy your pizza craving with Polly. Seriously.
Ribs are sold as "rib dinner", "half-rack", and "whole rack". Pretty self-explanatory, but I got the smallest for $10.99 (not bad for a rib dinner!) And honestly? I was impressed. I got 4 big ribs and the meat was tender and very nearly fell right off the bone. This MIGHT actually win an award... but the sauce was pretty run-of-the-mill. Tasted like anything in a bottle on the supermarket shelf. Get the ribs with no sauce and you're in for a real treat!
The "pizza sub" was for the sake of curiosity. They have a Stromboli listed and I absolutely love Strombolis, but the girl on the phone explained what theirs was and...it didn't sound at all like anything I'd ever ordered before. She recommended the pizza sub as something closer to a Stromboli, and so I gave it a whirl. Basically, it was exactly as the name implies: pizza sauce, cheese, and toppings on a footlong sub roll. Folks, the thing disappeared. I'm not ashamed to admit that I scarfed the whole thing in about 3 bites. Remember the delicious cheese I mentioned on the pizza? Yeah, that was here too, and it was wonderful. Not in a gourmet kind of way, but rather in a "holy cow that was amazing, I need 3 more of them!" kind of way. It's not glamorous, it's not the best thing on the menu, but if you like meatball subs and you're in the mood for a sandwich, order it.
Can't wait to try more...

Read moreOrdered their pizza tonight. I'm originally from Cincinnati, where my absolute favorite pizza place is LaRosa's, which isn't available here in Indy. Imagine my surprise, when I took my first bite of the pepperoni pizza and it tastes so much like LaRosa's, that if I didn't know better, I would say what I was eating was from there. I've read a few comments where ppl have said Aunt Polly's pizza sauce is to sweet. I didn't find it "sweet" at all but rather perfect for my taste. I wouldn't change a thing.
First night in my new house and I don't have a refrigerator yet so decided to order something for dinner. It was already 12:20 am so I googled fast food close to me and Aunt Polly's was the closest to me so decided to give them a try. I ordered wings and onion rings. The young lady who answered the phone was very nice and polite. She told me it would be around 1 hour which was ok with me. Imagine my surprise when 20 minutes later there was a knock at my door. Another nice young lady was delivering my food, nice and hot. The wings are a nice size, lightly breaded and covered in hot sauce. The onion rings are quite crispy and nicely breaded, not to much breading as to not taste the onion but the perfect amount for my liking. I also asked for catsup and 2 small containers were included as well as a larger container with blue cheese dressing for my wings. Everything tasted good and the speed of delivery was a nice surprise. I'm glad I decided to give Aunt Polly's a call and even more glad they're just a stones throw up the road from my new residence. This will be my new go to spot when I want wings. Bravo Aunt Polly's!! I'm pretty particular about my wings and yours are spot on perfect...
