This is such a unique pub for Indy. It's an intimate space, sometimes it's full to the brim and other times it's more casual and relaxed. We enjoyed sharing a table with another couple one night - at first we didn't share much in common, but we spent the night talking about our favorite trips domestically and overseas and Indy's fun neighborhoods. I think that's the value of SNUG. In a world of curating everything - you are invited to have a good conversation with a stranger, enjoy a wonderful mixed drink or a Half and Half, and enjoy the company or a friend or stranger alike. The ambiance is great-soft lighting, beautiful woodwork and bar, friendly owners who are 100% all-in ... friendly and passionate about space making. They love to tell you about how they modeled the space-including the "snug" for which the bar is named after. They are masters at a good Irish whisky cocktail, but they invite you in with a slimmer menu on their site. So if you want to get creative, just ask. They have tons of ideas. Whether you come for a night cap or stay for a while, you won't be disappointed. Come on a slow night for an intimate conversation space, or at a busy period ready with an open mind and you'll likely meet someone different than you and enjoy a fresh point of view in a beautiful space. It's the perfect neighborhood pub you didn't know you needed in your life.

The SNUG is quite possibly the best Irish Whiskey pub/bar in America. Located in the historic Irvington neighborhood of Indianapolis the community that has been fostered at the SNUG in its short tenure is nothing short of amazing. While Jim Arnoldt is the face of the SNUG online there is an A-List team that runs the business, and works there. The SUNG is a small space - max capacity 49 according to the Fire Marshall - but it has the largest Irish Whiskey selection in Indianapolis, the state of Indiana, the Midwest, and quite possibly the country. There are regular Whiskey Club events where Distillers, Blenders, and Ambassadors will guide you through great whiskeys in a fun and engaging environment. The pint (of Guinness) is pretty darn good. On my scale it’s a 4.25 (out of 5) with the head having a decent grip to the glass as it’s happily consumed. Food wise your choice is either Tayto’s (9 flavors available) or a snack plate. If you’re looking for a slice of Irish hospitality in Indianapolis then this is the place for you. Sláinte

First time at the Snug, spaces limited but I loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend the Snug Butter Beer cocktail and the empanadas and hand pies were DELICIOUS!! Very welcoming and friend staff as well. They also offer more than a handful of non-alcoholic beverages and offer WiFi so I can’t wait to be back in the daytime to do some work and sip on some coffee/tea!!

We had the pleasure of going to this quaint and fun little establishment and loved it. The owner/bartender, Jim, was so welcoming and informative. He brought over 3 different types of Irish Gin and explained the contents and flavors of each one. (I am a Hendrix lover and they do not offer Hendrix.) I was ready to go with a citrus Gunpowder but asked him what was his favorite. He recommended the G & Tonic, a tea infused Glendalough Rose Gin beautifully presented in a gorgeous glass with an ornate slice of citrus. WOW!!’ My new favorite cocktail! Excellent choice! When we left Snugs there was not an empty barstool or table and it reminded me of a “Cheers” setting. It is lively, friendly and lots of fun. Ask Jim about how he came to be name his bar Snugs. You will learn a little bit of history as only Jim can tell it. He is an awesome bartender and bar owner. We cannot wait to go back even though we live on the Northside. The drive is so...
