Non-veg Thali was a great way to visit south and north Indian cuisine in one place at an affordable price. The non-veg part was heavy on chicken (perhaps the day we came); no beef, lamb, or goat. That being said though, the flavors of each chicken dish were unique. Chicken 65 was delicious (maybe the use of cumin and curry leaves), not spicy, slightly salty, and crispy, a bit on the oily side; tandoori chicken was juicy and grilled up properly as well. Butter chicken was really good; spice level was not too high at all, and it was very very tasty (I finished this one right away). All these items so far were not too spicy. The other items though were spiced up quite a bit: chicken curry (maybe like a frontier chicken or karahi was spicy, but delicious), the daal (lentils) was tasty and spicy as well, the South Indian style okra with peanuts was quite spicy and almost deep fried as opposed to soft or mushy; nice touch to the thali with a lot of wetter dishes throughout the thali collection. The sambar and Rasam was okay (nothing wrong, but these are true South Indian flavors that might take time to appreciate if you’re a newbie), they also had a lemon rice, which honestly I thought was awesome; made the other flavors pop even more. The naan they provided was soft, fresh, and flavorful. They also provided the lightest poper as well (not sure how to spell the Indianglish version). They threw in a Gulab Jamun (sugary deep fried dough balls essentially) as well, which was okay (maybe 7/10 as far as Gulab Jamuns go, but nice thought to add to the thali; I appreciated it nonetheless). Overall 9.1/10. Wonderful mix of flavors, each part cooked well. Spice level is not for newbies, but overall manageable with water or a lassi perhaps. Definitely would order again. Lastly, my thali came with their chicken dum biryani, which I couldn’t even eat after the thali, so I took it home. Once I mixed the yougurt raita and some other leftover curries, I quickly remembered why I had to write this review. It’s not a 10/10 biryani per se, but man the flavors were explosive; they just work. We were also offered a free slice of their homemade cake. I got a rasmalai cake /pastry (as they call it). If you are used to ras malai, this little cake piece will be a treat. Overall experience was a 9.5/10. Easy on the pocket, fresh, and flavorful. Great efforts across the board from this place;...

Read moreThe food is really good at this place but the carry-out service is horrible. Three times, I've been made to wait more than 50 mins for food. The staff is not helpful or apologetic at all. They take pickup/delivery orders through toasttab and then "forget" to accept the order. I ordered the food, got a confirmation email that the food will be ready by 6:05 PM. I get there after a 30 min drive, for the front desk guy to tell me that he just accepted the order and it will take 25-30 mins. I was like, can you just refund the money because I can't wait that long. He said we can hurry up and do it in 15 mins so I said okay. I go there after 20 mins, there are 4 other people waiting for their order and we all waited additional 10 minutes before anyone came out and then it was the same story, food will be out in 5 minutes. Instead of 6:05, the food as ready at 6:55. Doordash delivery drivers who were waiting were told to pass it on to the other driver, after they had waited for ~20 mins. I empathize and understand that they might be busy but they need to communicate and make efforts to make it right when delays like this happen. This is the third time in a row that this has happened. With so many better Indian restaurants in town, I am scratching this off as an option. The food is good, not worth waiting...
