I love this place! My gf and I eat here every week and some weeks twice! The food is always as we want it and is served and delicious! That being said, there is one problem with this establishment and before I go further, it has very little to do with the wait staff, and even less with the food. I've seen complaints about a waitress and how she is rude or when you order a drink and it has very little alcohol, it is treated like there is no problem and the customer is left with a bad drink and no solution. Well, my thought is this. The manager who is a young man, does his best to make sure you are taken care of when he works. If there is a problem, he makes sure the problem is solved. He is the customer service person of the management. The problem then is this...the owner. I have had many issues with either the food not being correct and her being rude to me. There are certain customers who visit the restaurant and are visited with open arms (literally). But when we regular customers have even the slightest of problems...we are met with the old "that can't be answer to the problem". I got lumpy cold cheese and told her and her response was, "our cheese is never cold ". Really? Because the cheese is exactly that...cold. I had one other incident which she motioned me to hurry up with my order. That made me infuriated. I explained to her that when I visit a restaurant, I expect to be treated with respect you would give those patrons whom you greet with hugs. She agreed (though no apologies) and I took my to go order and left. So to sum up my experience, I still go to the restaurant, but that kind of behavior puts a bad taste...

If you are blind or handicapped in any way, this is not the place to go. The food is ok, but the service is no longer what it used to be and they can not deal with someone who is blind and who are in wheelchairs. This starts with a blind person still getting used to where their food and drink are and a glass gets tipped. The waiter refused to clean it up. Service was bad with the waiter and had to wait 15 to 20 minutes after flagging him down to get refills on our drinks. Let me also add that our waiter was told and acknowledged we were heading into the bathroom, and they clear the table. The waiter yelled at the blind person and complained that the floor was complained by "other customers " about, but had he cleaned it up when the spill occurred, it wouldn't have gotten complaints. With a wheel chair, there aren't ramps so it is difficult to jump 3 to 5 inch curbs. There is no marked handicap ramp. This continues in the building where chairs block doors and a restroom that is impossible to enter with a wheelchair. Windows are cracked, so negotiating the two entry doors are very difficult with a wheel chair. Then, when talking with the manager, he really doesn't care - you are just one customer. The manager was told by the waiter we left, but yet he knew we were going to the restroom. The manager basically said if you don't like the place, then don't come back. As such, I will NOT EVER come back to a place where the waiters and waitresses can yell at handicapped people who try their best, and all they can do is blame and treat the handicapped poorly for their own staff's shortcomings. I suggest you don't go...

When my family wants Mexican food and I’m not cooking it, this is our place of choice to order from. The food is really good! Don’t get full on the free chips and salsa. The salsa is fire!!❤️ I like trying different foods, but when I find something I like, I stick to it! I used to put in a special order for a Steak Fajita Chimichanga. It’s not as good as Pancho’s was when it was on 71st and Michigan Rd, but it’s the closest I’ve found since they closed. (No the Pancho’s out North on Allisonville Rd. is not the same!!) I ordered it so much, they’ve since added the Steak Fajita Chimichanga to their menu!! You’re welcome!😉 Try it!! You’ll love it!! Make sure you say Steak Fajita Chimichanga not just Steak Chimichanga. You want those veggies!!!! Their queso.... it’s good!! Tell them you want it hot. If they bring it out and it’s cold, it’s not as good. The staff is very friendly for the most part. I don’t know the lady’s name, (I’ll ask next time and update this post) she’s short and has a real long braid. She’s the best waitress they have. You can’t see her smile under her mask, but with her eyes you can tell she’s still smiling! I never tip her less than $20. That’s her minimum. You can’t put a cap on good service!! I’ll start taking photos to add to these reviews. Hope you enjoy!

**Update the wonderful waitress is LeeLee. I forgot I said I would upload a photo.😆 It looked so good and I was hungry!! Next time I’ll upload a...

First time ever trying this restaurant, in town overnight and it was strongly recommended by a friend… decided to try dine-in. We had a really great experience- excellent food, reasonably priced, server was polite and efficient. He recommended the fajitas over the enchiladas- the chicken fajitas were EXCELLENT. Came with a ton of guacamole, rice, beans, lettuce, sour cream and Pico de Gallo. My husband got the burrito and tostado combo- the steak and chicken were very tender. The neighborhood is a little rough, but this is a gem. Low key atmosphere but people were coming in nonstop, by time we left it was almost full on a Tuesday evening. If you’re ever in Irvington, try this place for a really good menu, delicious food and friendly service!

I understand charging for chips and salsa if you aren’t purchasing a dinner, but to charge an additional $4.99 for more than one small ramekin of salsa, WITH the purchase of two full-sized meals, $15+ is ridiculous. If you’d like salsa we recommend going to one of the other 100’s of Mexican restaurants who serve salsa and chips as a complement to your meal. We are suspicious that our server (tall, thin, dark-haired guy) may be the one responsible for most of the one-star reviews on this restaurant. Also, charged $3.25 for a soda water. Ugh. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place!

I can't say enough great things about the food and staff! Delicious food! Wonderful, friendly staff made us feel very welcome and not rushed even though it was really busy there. We went for my mom's 66th birthday today and they gave her a complimentary dessert and wished her a happy birthday several times! She was so full from her steak fajitas that she could only eat a few bites of dessert. My kids helped her with it. Lol. Definitely our new favorite spot for wonderful Mexican food! Edit to add: the horchata is DELICIOUS!
